Daytona 500 entry list - 49 cars. #nascar

No Derrike Cope or Brian Keselowski so that brings us down to 49. Also Tony Raines is listed in the #26 Front Row car, not Travis Kvapil as rumored.

I have a feeling.

I picked him in pick em's... he better flip in a series of sickening sidewinder snaprolls... then walk away and wave to the fans. :)

That's what I had in mind for Donnie Neuenberger, except instead of waving to the fans he would simply toss his brake pedal into the grandstands for a souvenir.

Man, I hope those ARCA speeds so far are single car runs.

Speaking of which, Earnhardt Jr. ( :beard: ) just showed himself to be a man of principle. At the end of his chat with Massaro and Craven they asked him if he would join Twitter if he wins the Daytona 500. He said no...though he blamed it on commitment issues.

All single car speeds thus far.

They typically don't draft until happy hour Saturday morning, which is why we see such a crash fest of a race, nobody has any practice or prior experience before going balls out in the race.

Seems weird to me to devote en entire four hour session to single car runs. I know the entry list is huge and a lot of guys are going to need that solo speed to even make the race, but you'd think the guys locked in (ARCA has locked-in rules right?) would spend some of that time working on race setup. A forty-five minute session on race day won't tell you very much, especially since they'll all be doing very, very limited drafting to avoid wrecking their primaries.

No lock-in. I think 1-32 are set by qualifying speed then 33-43 are provisionals.

Probably have the Golden A stuff for provisionals. I could see guys like Basham,Hylton and Smith taking them.

It looks like 8 cars got together and drafted, Steve Blackburn was fastest in today's practice at 188.63 mph.

Also... Looks like the SHR teams are getting read for tandem drafting again.

He's ok when he doesn't drive over his head. He races people extremely hard. I've seen him drive right through people and try slide jobs he never should of which will either take the other car out or both he and the other car. Basically, when frustration takes over, it affects his driving in my opinion.

I wish him the best of luck, but I really doubt he finishes the race. Hell he could run decent it if he keeps his cool.

He reminds me a lot of Steve Butler. Doubt that name rings any bells on this forum.

Steve Blackburn raced at my old local short track. Would love to see him get in the race and do well.

He still looks as angry as he did in the NASCAR RDT.

Who pissed in his cornflakes yesterday morning?

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

That was the sprint car guy that ran for Stoops at Indianapolis, wasn't it?
