That was amazing. The cars look like they're racing in 1980 when they come here, all sideways as heck. Incredible racing. Hope they never repave it. The significance of Gordo's achievement is huge, to do it in the modern era. And car high Bowyer, jeez lol.

Just finished watching the whole race, definitely one of the best races this year, along with Darlington and Watkins Glen. There were battles right through the field for the whole race and the fight between Johnson and Gordon was great. Looking forward to seeing this Chase start.

For the most part, I really don't get the whole love affair with stock cars racing on dirt. Even on some of the bigger/faster tracks the light, specially-built dirt late models strike me as really slow and clumsy. If I'm going to bother watching a dirt race I want to see sprint cars (with or without the wings) really get after it and tear around the track like hell.

Especially since when Motors TV were showing ARCA for a couple of years, the only dirt track I saw them show didn't actually have all that much dirt on it, more a "dry line" of tarmac and dirt on the inside...

But hey, I'm just a Brit, what the hell would I know!

(The novelty of it appealed to me though, just a shame, as I say, there wasn't much dirt on this so-called dirt track)

Frontstretch, after the race. The black stuff is tire rubber.

The track had some rough spots, this was in turn 4. They kept racing over it, didn't stop the race to put any dirt down, or anything.

Not really happy with them, but that's a different story.

Redirect airflow to help prevent mud, dirt clods, and so forth away from the driver's side of the windshield.
