Looks like the track record could fall in qualifying. Track and air are much cooler than they were before the rain came through. First several cars are already picking up a lot of time from their practice times.

-EDIT- Sun's shining on the track now and the times aren't quite picking up the same as they were for the first ten cars or so.

Pretty neat to see our area get some coverage in the pre race after the devastation that came through here. Didn't realize that Eric McClure's house was so bad off.

HUGE shunt for Brian Scott. Big mess caused by a stackup.

Pile up, Brian Scott just pounded the wall hard.

That's a huge mess. Looked like Scott took a huge hit to the inside wall in it.

Fuck off, Clint Bowyer.
EDIT: And/or Denny Hamlin, and not just out of principle either.

Not sure where Clint thought he was going there.

Busch looked like he flat drove through Scott getting through that wreck, and that's what sent him into the wall.

Hard to blame Hamlin for that one, IMO. He had the inside line and it should have been Bowyer lifting to give room for Almirola. Hamlin had no reason to expect Bowyer would just carry on into the 88 when it was clear there wasn't room.

Wasn't he on the apron, though?

Congrats on some sort of record. I'm sure ESPN will let us know what it is in a moment.
