Hah, the subtext of that interview is miles longer than the actual spoken content.

Fox's coverage was excellent tonight. They stayed with the race for the lead when they were about to go to a commercial. That impressed me the most and to go 41 minutes over the end of the scheduled time is awesome as well. We got interviews from Kyle and Kevin as well before going off air. Pretty good

I'm out for the night. Very happy for Regan Smith. I believe it is the first time anyone has won in NASCAR with the last name of Smith!

He should wreck him in practice. Fridays are typically really boring anyways.

When was the last time a single car team won at a non-RP track? Craven?

A Harvick vs. Kyle Busch feud is one of the better combinations I can think of as well.

Jack Smith, from Atlanta, scored 21 wins between 1956 and 1962.

I'm thinking the same thing. Too obvious to do it the next week after. Wreck him on a big track where the damage will be severe.

I was watching some footage earlier this week of Lake Speed's win in 1988 and remembering how epic that was then and the raw emotion shown by Lake in victory lane. Just awesome to see that scene recreated tonight almost. Good stuff.

Lake Speed is awesome in every way.

Well they've got a 400-miler at Dover next weekend, and then it's the All-Star weekend.

And as captivating as this is, I'm always fairly uncomfortable when things get this crazy between two drivers. Obviously it's come and gone many, many times over in the world but it is kinda scary to think about what they're capable of doing to one another and it seems like it could carry on for ages. Less than half an hour and I'm already kind of ashamed of my comment that Busch should be injured, but SOMETHING really does need to happen here. If NASCAR doesn't do something (and something of substance, not that meaningless joke of a penalty they gave Edwards last Spring) they're potentially leaving the door wider open for the drivers to settle it in a way that won't be the least bit pretty.

So, Regan Smith in the chase?

Right now, yes.
Actually, I don't think Regan is in the top 20 in points so, not at this moment but if he can get there he could be.

Apparently Ambrose and Labonte got together on the last lap. Be interesting to see what happened there.

They showed a replay. Labonte got turned into the outside wall on the backstretch.

Just thinking about what NASCAR might do about this. It will be very disappointing if they penalize both drivers, because Harvick is essentially guilty of little more than hard racing. Busch intentionally wrecked him and then lost his head on pit road where there was a chance (albeit a small one given their position away from the bulk of the other cars and crews) he could have really injured someone.

NASCAR probably will penalize both drivers. Remember Keselowski and Edwards a year ago?

Thanks for the vid, they cut away just before the fun here. Must admit, as funny as it is, Busch really is a low character, but it makes it all the more entertaining. Can't wait for Dover shenanigans.

Yea, that's the most likely outcome I see out of all of this. Seems no matter the severity of the on track incident, the repercussion is always just probation and MAYBE fine/points penalty.
