After a long and grueling season, the series heads to Homestead for the final NASCAR race weekend of 2010.

While the Nationwide and Truck titles have been decided already (the owners points are still on the line, but really, who gives a shit), the Sprint Cup title is as close as it has been in a long time. Three drivers are separated by less than 50 points going into the season finale. Entry lists and Cup clinching scenarios below.

Sprint Cup: Ford 400 (Sunday @ 1pm ET on ESPN)
Nationwide: Ford 300 (Saturday @ 4:30pm ET on ESPN2
Trucks: Ford 200 (Friday @ 8pm ET on SPEED)

Championship Scenarios
Quote:
Denny Hamlin (6462 points)

Can clinch the championship if...
* Hamlin wins the race.
* Finishes 2nd and leads the most laps
(Note: Should Johnson win the race and the latter occurs, the championship would end in a tie. Hamlin would win the tiebreaker on account of most wins)

Jimmie Johnson (-15 points behind)

Should Johnson win the race, he can clinch the championship if...
* Johnson leads the most laps.
* Hamlin leads a lap and finishes 3rd or worse.
* Hamlin does NOT lead a lap and finishes 2nd or worse.

Kevin Harvick (-46 points behind)

Should Harvick win the race (and Hamlin & Johnson each lead a lap), he can clinch the championship if...
* Hamlin finishes 9th or worse and Johnson finishes 6th or worse.
* Hamlin leads the most laps and finishes 11th or worse.
* Johnson leads the most laps and finishes 7th or worse.
* Harvick leads the most laps, Hamlin finishes 8th or worse, and Johnson finishes 5th or worse.

Hopefully is a great race. Good to see JJ having to race his way to the title in the final race.

I haven't been this excited about a season finale since 2004 (first year of the Chase). Definitely watching the race on Sunday.

I think I'd rather watch the traitor Brett Favre get killed by Clay Matthews and the Packers. :p

Don't want Hamlin to win, even though he probably deserves it
I'd be fine with Johnson or Harvick, but it's really Denny's to lose :(

Would be amazing if Harvick could somehow pull this off and win the Cup...

Do Sky Sports still show NASCAR? Or is it just 30 minute highlights about 5 days after the race?

Just highlights. That was the whole reason it ended up on Open Access because Sky dropped it.

For all that is good in life let Harvick dominate.

Just hope this doesn't turn out like F1 did this season. Likeable guy leads the standings most of the year, beaten by a douche in the final round.

I like the possibilities, should mean the race is interesting the whole way through.

Well, one hopes so.

Cole Whitt is entered in both the Trucks and Nationwide. I have reason to watch now.

He's going to be in the #60 truck full-time next year from what I've read.
