Finally just now during an interview with Carl Edwards, we get to see the front angle of the wreck from the beginning in real time. Way to go, ESPN. :yuk:

I suppose not having ARCA or Nationwide helped but only 46 pages? That's a bit low,

Yeah, the turnout here for the races this weekend was a lot lower than I had expected.

Sorry to say this guys but that was a seriously shit way to end a race!

to rely on a TV director catching the leader at the exact moment they decide to throw the yellow, why dont they count back to the leader over the line last time round like every other race series on the planet?

To be honest, the way they decide the race in that situation is fair, plain and simple. Just because every other series does it differently (and wrong in this case) is no reason to follow suit.

They should turn this race into the Talladega 200 as only the first and last parts of the race were watchable. The 30 car single line snake put me to sleep. I'm sure part of the stands looking so empty were the ticket holders who watched the start, then went and drank beer for 2 hours, then came back for the finish.

you cant get 87 lead changes in a 30 single file line..... They would line up, and two guys would I guess you can say "practice" the two-car-tango for the end. It was honestly fun to watch.

I don't need to see 10 rows of 4-wide racing. It is exciting, but passing is what defines racing. Not cluttering.

All-in-all it was a great race, but the races at Talladega this year sum up what you get. Either a finish for the ages like the Harvick-McMurry deal in April, or a bummer having the race end 500 years passed the white flag with a crash. Either or, the racing has been a great.

I don't get all the shit thrown at this race (probably including stuff from myself but hell, I've calmed down now...)

Yeah the finish could've been better but I saw more than enough great racing towards the end of the race to come away satisfied.

As we've said many times, the most frustrating thing was more ESPN's coverage rather than the quality of the racing, which under the current rules package remains excellent.
There's something a bit old school about this whole 2 car breakaway thing, and the end there with 3 seperate 2 car hookups making their own little pack was looking like it was about to be cool as hell...

Please don't change anything before Daytona, NASCAR....PLEASEEEEE

Yeaa the finish was a bit of a let down but then things like that happen. Sure there was single-file running and not much action but that's just the call before the storm.

Overall it was a good race.

Thought the race was great but ESPN just sucked it up. As much as I hate to say it, sometimes, I wish it could just be one network all year long.

Mostly TNT.
