Vince Welch is back on play-by-play for IRP.

Which sucks, because Dave Burns wasn't that bad last week.

Joe Aramendia is in the #01 truck the rest of the season apparently. He is the truck that was involved in the big crash at Texas, From what I've seen him run at Thunderhill, he's got speed as along as he isnt crashing people.

The preliminary Nationwide entry list is out without Bob Keselowski, but Brad said the decision wont be final until wednesday whether to run him or not.

Damnit. The Brickyard 400 again? :yuk: Nice time for a nap I suppose. Maybe I'll do well enough in my bowling tournament that I advance to the finals and therefore won't be home when the race is going on.

However, IRP on Friday and Saturday night. Woo. Freaking love that track!

Amen. That track never dissapoints, even when Kyle Busch stinks up the show (see '08)

Will he call everyone Brad and ejaculate himself every time he mentions Justin Allgaier?

Burns really did a good job. You need a guy whose tone of voice can really explain what is going on on track.

LIKE BESTWICK!!!

Brian Keselowski said a few minutes ago on Facebook that they did apply for his dad's Nationwide license, and he's even more mad today than he was two days ago.

It'd be damn near criminal to reject the application.

They can't deny Bob by saying he lacks experience...He ran the Truck Series for several seasons, won at least 11 ARCA races plus the 1989 ARCA championship,as well as put time in on the USAC stock car circuit. He may be a little rusty, sure, but he's probably better than many of the derp pay drivers out there each week.

Speaking of Rusty, they let Greg Sacks race a few weeks ago so no excuses thier, and they can't sat he's to old because James Hlyton ran in the Sprint cup too, and then you have Matthias who ran Sonoma having never raced a stock car.

Think Brad's gonna talk Bob out of this? He seems to be the voice of reason at this point.

An even better example would be Stan Barrett. He was cleared to compete in a couple of Nationwide Series races in 2008, 18 years after he last competed in a Nascar event.

If NASCAR wanted ratings boost, they would let this happen. I think they are thinking safety wise, but then again if they were thinking that, they would punish Carl. Maybe they are looking at the points ramifications if would have but then again, thats defending Carl, so I dont really know why they arent letting him. Health issues maybe? Didnt pass the physical?

Thanks. I got my "11" from reading an old ARCA yearbook.

I always get excited for special races like the Brickyard 400, even if I know there's a good chance it may be boring. It's a nice spectacle, and you never know when a good race may break out (2005/6/7 were all good).

In a perfect world, IRP would have 100,000+ seats around it, and the Cup series would race there, not at Indy. It's physically impossible to have a bad race there.
