DAYTONA

This will be a first for me - I've never seen this race live. I keep missing it for some reason. I will make the effort this year

Also, this is the race that will be broadcast in 3D. THREE CHEERS FOR EYE STRAINS!

(if you can afford one, that is)

You don't have do watch it in 3D. Does anyone even know a person who's bought a 3D television yet?

I don't know of a soul that owns a 3D TV. I can't imagine they come cheap, and I can't imagine that anyone other than maybe some technophiles own them.

It just reeks of "gimmick extracted from stupid 1950s science-fiction movie" to me.

And the glasses for them are close to 150 bucks too. Imagine buying enough glasses for a family? Ouch.

Yup, I went to Best Buy the other day and saw a $6600 3D TV and 3D glasses were $150 bucks a pop. Interestingly enough, the glasses had been stolen

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to both races this weekend. I missed the 400 for a party last year, but I should be able to watch it this year

Sucks I'll be working and will miss both races :x Hopfully someone will cap them and upload them to the net. One of the few Nascar events worth watching these days imo.

If I ever buy a 3DTV, everyone on here has permission to shoot me for being that much of an idiot.

Preferably a 10 gauge shotgun, with a slug. But it's really up to you what you want.

The last time I attended the race, is what I witnessed.

If luck is in my cards I'll be going again this year.
