And so, the NASCAR tour arrives (without Danica, thank god) at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in beautiful (seriously, you should see what they've done with downtown lately) Hampton, GA.

It amazes me that it's only three races in and everyone assumes that Jimmie will win the next 35 races.

Someone forgot that Harvick is in the points lead as of now.

Regardless, I'm looking forward to Atlanta.

People also forget that after three races last year, Matt Kenseth had the same win-percentage as JJ has now.

Yeah, but we all know JJ...

I'm still optimistic that JJ will miss the Chase. But then again...

Sooner or later, his luck will run out.

I've always liked Atlanta regardless of how good or bad the racing there is. Looking forward to the Truck race and the last superspeedway Sprint Cup race with that awful wing, too.

And, just think, I wanted Atlanta to get repaved.

The Labor Day race last year changed that.

Look at the Chevy in all good teams: Hendrick, Childress, Ganassi, Stewart-Haas, and same Furniture Row: they're competitive, and i clearly think the 3/4 of the chase field thid year will drive a Chevy. Ford as two good teams, but have some bad luck or reliability problems. Dodge is very good, but Only Penske run those cars. (God, if you're exist, glad them.) And for Toyota, the car is good, the line-up is a little weak in comparaison of Chevy or Ford. we got Kyle Busch, Hamlin and Vickers in top drivers. Ambrose, Speed and Logano must make progress again this year.

I'm really impressed for Chevy's performance, especially the RCR: i think we go to RCR-Hendrick battle, with Johnson, Gordon and Harvick on top.

But hey, we're just in the 4th race of championship: let's roll the racing before, right? ;)

Yeah, they're racing on the Legends quarter-mile track after Cup qualifying, I think.

The northern Modified tour is running Lime Rock this year, which should be interesting.

As long as some of the Bowman Gray drivers show up I'm sure it won't be boring.

Piquet isn't racing in trucks again? Bugger..

I hope this race is better than what we had at Vegas, can't be too hard i guess though.

Damn straight. Watching the mods flounder around Lime Rock will be supremely sweet.

Long to make NASCAR return with Ramirez Motorsports in Atlanta: Daisy Ramirez Motorsports has announced today that experienced NASCAR driver Carl Long will be behind the wheel of the DRM #01 Koma Unwind "Chillaxation Drink™" Chevy for this weekend's NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event in Atlanta. With 45 starts in the 3 premier NASCAR series, Carl Long will be making his return to NASCAR after a highly publicized suspension from the NASCAR ranks. Long, who has been racing for 26 years will be shouldering the task of keeping the DRM truck in the points battle that will ensure a starting spot after the 4th race of the year. With a 10th and 14th place finish for the DRM trucks in Daytona the season started off in the right direction. Carl and the team are still seeking additional marketing partners.
