This goes for all three national series, combined.

I think the Sprint Cup was decent, some very good races, other very bad, as expected. Restrictor plate races were good, Daytona showed good racing and Talladega provided an amazing first race and a dissapointing second one. Road races were very good and the cookie cutters were below average, so nothing new.

I don't remember being excited about a NWS this year. High point was the Montreal race, because of the lolz.

I saw just a few truck races to have an objective view of the season.

6.

I voted 7.

Jeff Gordon finally got that win, at Texas, no less.
Kyle Busch missed the Chase.
Mark Martin had a hell of a season, and I'm glad as hell he notched five more wins.
I loved both Dega races, attended the best Pocono race I've ever been to, and was treated to some great finishes.

The true "downer" is Jimmie winning the title again, but I don't mind the guy, nor am I totally opposed to witnessing history.

Oh, and ESPN sucks balls. Big downer.

7 as well for me. Had plenty of good racing mixed in with plenty of drab stretches as well but I was intrigued most of the year.

8/10 for me.

Big Points of season:
-My first season as NASCAR pronosticer :p
-Jeff Gordon at Texas.
-Tony Stewart for his regular season.
-Mark Martin for the whole season.
-Juan Pablo Montoya for his regularity, but always lack of chance when it's a victory race.
-Jimmie Johnson for 4th title, even when.
-Talladega Aaron's 499 AIRBORRRNZZZZ!!!!
-Montreal Lolest race ever in nationwide. hope they make this in Cup.

BAD points:
-Kyle Busch and Matt Kenseth, only winners to not drive in the fuckin'chase. really shame.
-Johnson's surdomination make somes races overbooooring.
-To win a race, it's necessary to have a Chevy. No Ford, no Dodge, no Toy (except for Kyle Busch), just Chevy.
-Too "two-times" tracks. for Daytona and Talladega, nothing to say, but for Pocono, New Hampshire or Las Vegas, i don't think it's necessary. why not to go racing at Portland, Mexico, Montreal or Rockingham (NC one), Kentucky, or Texas WORLD speedway (yes, the 2.69 Mile)?
-COT is the a shit, but everyone knows. let's go to a car some more personal.

I gave the season a 6.

POSITIVES:
-Matt Kenseth snapping his winless drought by winning the Daytona 500 (albeit rain-shortened)
-Jeff Gordon winning at Texas
-Mark Martin, at 50 years old, showing he can still be amongst the elite at his age
-Brian Vickers ending a (almost) three-year winless drought at Michigan
-insane restrictor plate finishes at Talladega (Brad Keselowski) and the Firecracker 400 (Tony Stewart)
-Kyle Busch not making the Chase
-the comedic Nationwide race at Montreal

NEGATIVES:
-ESPN's coverage sucked again...they seriously need to have Marty Reid calling the Sprint Cup races, because Jerry Punch has lost his "punch" in regards to play-by-play
-FOX really disappointed me as well...they over-emphasized that stupid gopher in their race broadcasts a little too much
-Roush-Fenway basically not doing much of anything this year (after Kenseth won the first two races)
-Montoya getting screwed out of a win at the Brickyard
-Jimmie Johnson overly dominating races, especially when the Chase is in full swing
-NASCAR's incessant micromanagment of the drivers during the fall Talladega race

Well, I give it a 6. I admit I'm disappointed that Montoya couldnt challenge the top drivers to win the title in this chase. Some races got stuck in my throat just like the Brickyard 400 this year. In the overall I haven't followed NASCAR that much I thought I would in this year....so I give it a 6, that's all. It's boring that JJ won again, it looks like F1 in Schumacher era. :yuk:

And I seriously think NASCAR should start a Inquiry Comission on all of this JJ success. I'm sure that If they do, they'll find out that Chad Knaus is the person who actually drives JJ's car with a hidden joystick in the pitwall, therefore all of these 4 trophies should be delivered to Chad. :D

6.5: there were some very decent races, especially at the beginning of the season. Yeah we can say that the regular season was good, the problem in Sprint Cup is the Chase (and COT, and Goodyears, and some very boring race tracks). Other races were very dull.
For the first time I didn't care about Nationwide and Truck, they were just boring.

Best race of the year: Cup @

Talladega
Spring
LOLlest race of the century: Nationwide @ Montreal

I gave it a six. Almost a five, but I was generous.

Positives
Mark Martin doing so well with his new team.
Some memorable moments that will certainly be remembered for years to come. It feels there were more of these this year than past years.
I've enjoyed the Denny Hamlin/Brad Keselowski rivalry lately.
Marcos Ambrose joining the roster. I had fun watching him.
Tony Stewart doing well in the first "half" of the season.
Montoya being in contention for many races. I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do next season.
Nationwide @ Montreal was hilarious. (with an amazing finish, although a heartbreaking one)

Negatives
Same champion, again. Johnson is a good guy, and a great driver, but ugh, somebody new please?
Mark Martin finishing runner up for the fifth time in his career - and finishing runner up at Indianapolis, to no other than Jimmie Johnson.
Same old stuff I don't like. The Chase. The COT. Nationwide Series getting owned by Buschwhackers. Invisibris. Cookie cutters.
Kyle Busch being the champion of the Nationwide Series.
The Daytona 500 being rain shortened, and that it would have been completed if it had started at a "proper time."
ESPN's coverage + Jerry Punch

Good tast
DEGA 2009 (Earl goes flying, Keselowski pulling off the upset win, greatest race ever).
Mark Martin kicking ass with Hendrick.
Montoya's late season surge of great runs.
Shaheen taking over for the last three races of TNTs season. Miles away more pleasing that Weber.
Ambrose and Reutimann putting up great performances throughout the season.
N'Wide at Montreal (hilarious race + "horrible" finish + ensuing hatred for Earl afterwards in the forum = SoS)
The awesome Sabara-ism's throughout the season.

Bad tast
Jimmie Johnson wins it again. Different story, same ending.
5 hour pre-race show + impending rain = Horrible Daytona 500, meh winner.
Kyle Busch, continuing to be a douchebag.
DEGA 2009 (No bump drafting = horrible race, Newman goes flying, Martin goes flying, Jimmie does not)
Fall Texas race (the short-but-sweet satisfaction of knowing Jimmie isn't perfect after all)
Digger and his extended family
ESPN (GTFO Jerry Punch)

Here's to a better 2010 season...
Will Uncle Tony (the sherriff) save NASCAR from very boring days once again?
Will Johnsson go to the wall and ruin his drive for five?
Will Popcorn Jr rise from the ashes and stop being a mid-pack runner?
Will Great Ky become a man and change his attitude?
How will Backstreet Boy Kahne and Ruimgano do?
Until then, obrigardo everyone. :flag:

It was alright.

Good:
-Tony Stewart and Ryan Newman doing a lot better than I thought they'd do with their new team
-Marcos Ambrose. I hope he wins a few next year. Great guy.
-The finish at Daytona. That was just awesome to watch.
-Ralph Sheheen, NASCAR play-by-play man. This needs to happen more often.
-TNT as a whole. They deserve a lot more than six races, and the "Pride of NASCAR" beats the living hell out of "Digger and Friends" for a pre-race segment. In fact, all the networks should interview at least one NASCAR legend for the pre-race every week.
-Atlanta on Labor Day Weekend. Surprisingly good, featuring a huge crowd, and a great race. Almost felt like I was watching something else.
-Kurt Busch's reverse-gear victory lap was hilarious.
-Kansas was surprisingly good as well.
-Montreal, featuring the antics of the human bowling ball, Steven Wallace.

Bad:
-"Digger and Friends". What the fuck?
-ESPN as a whole. Jerry Punch is not suited to being a play-by-play man, he'd be better off on pit road. If you don't want to put Bestwick back in the booth, put Marty Reid in there. He's a hell of a commentator, and it might make the races more watchable.
-Denny Hamlin. Deluded son-of-a-bitch. Needs an attitude adjustment.
-Carl Long essentially given persona non grata status from NASCAR for a barely-illegal engine that was still way down on power. Just a little harsh.
-The Jeremy Mayfield saga. Just heartbreaking, disgusting, and trashy.
-NASCAR management's ruining of the Talladega 500 in October with their bump-drafting rules
-The Chase.
-Mark Martin at Bristol. And you wonder why he never won a Cup title. It wasn't because of rules violations, or because of shit like that, it was because he didn't try hard enough.
-Memphis closes.
-Quite a few of the races were hardly worth watching.
-Debris cautions.

Good
Hilarious finishes to Montreal and Talladega spring
MSRP motorsports finishes a race.
Nationwide race at Dega
Coke 400 finish
Kyle Busch misses the chase
ESPN's Nationwide coverage (Marty Ried/Randy Lajoie)
Matt Kenseth wins the Daytona 500
Denny Hamlin impersonator Juan Montoya

Bad

Kyle Busch wins NWS Championship
Anti-climatic finishes in all three series
Matt Kenseh misses the chase
Memphis NWS race (A bit ticked that Gaughn or Bliss didnt win that race when they should have)
Talladega Fall

Ugly

Brian France
Jimmie Johnson wins fourth in a row
ESPN's Cup Coverage

6. Once again, generous voting on my part.

Positives:
Aaron's 499
Double-file restarts
Coke Zero 400 at Daytona (and the awesome call by the TNT bunch)
As a matter of fact, TNT as a whole
PepBoys 500 at Atlanta...very good choice, NASCAR.
The LOLfest at Montreal...featuring virtually the entire field sperging, Steven Wallace as a bowling ball, Antonio Perez vs RWI, and the WTF NO GODDAMMIT FUCK YOU CDWARDS finish in which Marcos Ambrose gets screwed again...this time by Marocs Ambrose himself.
Me jumping ship to Brad Keselowski. Because Dale Jr. sucks.

Negatives:
Dale Jr. sucks lmao
Digger...and friends...somebody call Terminex for me...
ESPN. Punch sucks HARD in the booth. Get Marty Reid in there, please.
Denny Hamlin is a twat that needs to cool it with Brad NOW
NASCAR's usual inconsistent rulings...Carl Long gets a hefty fine for having an engine a bit too big, yet Mark Martin's and Jimmie Johnson's cars get sent to the R&D center for a few weeks and got away with it? I would to into a Crashman-esque conspiracy theory about it, but I don't want to.
The entire Jeremy Mayfield saga.
What happens when NASCAR strips the fun out of Talladega? Two flipperz!!!
the chase sucks and needs to die in a fire
JAWNSON winning the title...AGAIN...and Mark becomes a bridesmaid for the millionth time...
There goes our annual 24 Hours of Memphis...
And...uhh....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

About ESPN, I would put Bestwick in the booth, Marty Reid in the studio and Jerry Punch back in the pitlane.

To be honest I couldn't stomach most of the coverage at the end of the year. ESPN is so awful that any race is hard to watch.
