Very interesting Top 10 starting for the Nationwide race. Allgaier is on the pole, but also in the top 10 is Mike Wallace in the 01, Mark Day in the 05, Matt DiBenedetto in the 20, Kenny Wallace in the 28.

IIRC that was supposed to be Ernie Irvan's first race back on the comeback trail, but rain washed out qualifying and delayed his comeback for North Wilkesboro the following week.

EDIT: Rain delay's over, race should start shortly.

24 Hours of Memphis pre-race started.

With the double-file restarts in place...Lord knows what will happen there.

Im a bit behind the curve, why do they only change tires and then come back in and do fuel in the truck series?

I think those are the new pit rules.

You should be confused because it's stupid.

Townley blew his motor which called a multi car pileup.

Of course, it wouldn't be a 24 Hours of Memphis without a JWT crash of any kind or magnitude.

Took out a few start and park cars too so there's some people who wish they'd not bothered turning up this weekend...

John Wes Townley is absolutely the worst driver ever. Oh hai Im blowing up let me stay in the racing line and oil up the track and wreck all youz ppl. I knew hed cause a mess at Memphis, but to do it that way is ever more irritating that normal, considering he took out Eddie MacDonald who I was pulling for.
