An over-exaggeration of how double-file restarts will happen at the Glen:

I remember the intro title screen on TNN for an ASA race once saying this..... "The American Speed Association A/C Delco Challenge Series North Carolina Sweet Potatoes 400"

I love long race names

Jacques Villeneuve is set to return to the NASCAR Sprint Cup in this weekend's race at Watkins Glen.

The 1997 Formula 1 world champion hasn't said which car he will be driving, but says it is one that has a guaranteed start for the race.

Interesting.....

Now that's some bad logic.

Not really. I can say I'm a Chevy guy all my life yet I driven a Toyota (a 1996 one, at that) longer than I have driven any GM vehicle since I got my license.

Barry Green said that Reed Sorenson is injured, and George Gillett called them

Well, Jacques Villeneuve is scheduled to drive the #32 Braun Racing Toyota in a few weeks at Montreal, and he's been running Toyotas if I'm right ever since he came into NASCAR (Bill Davis Racing, Braun Racing, in the Top 3 series, and I believe he's currently racing Toyotas up in NASCAR's Canadian Series, it's called the Camping World Tire Series, right?)

Camping World makes tires?

NASCAR Canadian Tire Series is the proper name.

Villeneuve has only ran one Canadian Tire (which is not known for its tire sales, I understand) Series race, and that was in a Conquest Racing Ford.

Not like Villenueve is under contract with Toyota anyways. If that's the logic you use all the time, oh my...

It's obvious that you haven't paid attention to the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series.

Press Release from Petty

Reed Sorenson will drive the No. 43 Dodge for Richard Petty Motorsports in Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Watkins Glen International. The Petty team retained Jacques Villeneuve as a substitute driver in case Sorenson continued to suffer from the effects of carbon monoxide he inhaled in Monday’s race at Pocono. Fortunately, Sorenson has recovered from the accident. Owners George and Foster Gillett along with the Richard Petty Motorsports team appreciate Villeneuve’s willingness to help out on such short notice.”
