Any reason why the Trucks don't race in road courses?

I know they used to race at the Glen.

I really don't know why the road courses were dropped from the Trucks schedule. They also used to race at Infineon, Heartland Park Topeka, and even had to contend with the treacherous Festival Curves at Portland for two years (after the Portland bullring was dug up for dirt track racing IIRC).

@ Wetz: I added the Camping World West race stuff to the opening post. I doubt though the race will be televised, though I could be wrong.

Yeah, these double file restarts are going to be quite interesting here.

As for the trucks racing on road courses, I would guess it is to try to save some costs for the teams so they don't need 2-4 trucks that they would only use once a year. I don't know if that's the official reason, but I know NASCAR has done measures like that for the trucks.

The Camping World West race is supposed to be broadcast on SPEED in a one hour condensed show on Thursday July 2 at 3:00 PM Eastern according to http://www.racingwest.com/news/articles ... o-air.html

When I was growing up, my dad was on a Roush Development team in the West Series and they would run the Cup race at Sears Point. We always sat in the main grandstand which used to be in the infield between the front stretch and turns 9 & 10. That was a lot of fun. Then we moved to Wisconsin and this will be the first year in the last 7 or so that I will miss the race in Milwaukee. Kind of a big weekend for me as NASCAR's top dogs race in both my home towns :)
