Geoff in the ICU at Blake Memorial Hospital in Bradenton. He suffered a broken vertebrae in his neck and has numerous punctures in his lungs. He is alert and in good spirits. Please keep Geoff and his wife in your prayers.

I'll be heading to Charlotte Motor Speedway on Monday to practice for the Legends All-Star race.

Pretty much a dream come true to run (partially) on the big track.

My 2nd race did not go much better than the first. I drew pole for the race. Unfortunately the impatient driver starting 4th turned the guy in 2nd before we even got to the start/finish line to start lap 1, slamming him into my door, and causing a red flag. At the conclusion of the red flag my car wouldn't refire.

Just got back from Auburndale a few hours ago. There were 23 late models so there was no LCQ race. The feature race was decent, but the story of the night was by far the last turn of the last lap.

Jeff Scoffield started the race from the pole after the invert. There were only a few minor accidents that slowed the action. The 100 lap race was ran in just under and hour. Scoffield nearly led wire-to-wire, but coming to the checkered flag, without any assitance, spun out off of turn 4. The entire top 10 was bumper to bumper right behind him. As he spun, the second place car #77 took evasive action through the grass on the front stretch, spinning across the line in first and nearly slamming head on into the front stretch wall. Anthony Campi in the #81 finished second, scoffield didn't even finish in the top 5.

But it's not over, come to find out, the #77 failed post race tech inspection and was disqualified, for what exact reason I do not know yet. If this is true then #81 Anthony Campi would be declared the winner and take the $5000 grand prize.

There was a small camera crew there shooting for a local sports channel (Bright House Sports Network.) I think they said the show was called "Lights, Camera, Traction." If I can find out when that airs I will try to record and upload it.
