Heading up to Southern National Motorsports Park in NC to race this weekend. From watching highlight and onboard videos, we'll be hauling some serious ass in the legends cars.

I'll possibly making a start at a karting event at Citrus County Speedway on May 18th. Which, if goes as planned, will be my first points racing event of any kind for me. :D

Oswego Speedway opens up Tomorrow, May 4th, with the first of 4 Shea Concrete Products ISMA Super Series races. Time trials at 5PM, racing at 6PM. The SuperMod race features the return of the Rowley Rocket Chris Perley (Current SuperMod track record holder) to full time competition. Possibility that the outright track record could fall since Time Trials are taking place when the track is still warm. Should be a good race and if you're in the area it's definitely worth seeing.

Good luck man!

I'll be heading to Charlotte Motor Speedway on Monday to practice for the Legends All-Star race.

Pretty much a dream come true to run (partially) on the big track.

Had a pretty serious crash last night at Desoto Speedway in Bradenton. Geoff Styner was racing a 3/4 midget and his car over turned and hit helmet first into the wall.
Quote:
Geoff in the ICU at Blake Memorial Hospital in Bradenton. He suffered a broken vertebrae in his neck and has numerous punctures in his lungs. He is alert and in good spirits. Please keep Geoff and his wife in your prayers.

That was really ugly. They race those things on the 3/8 inside track at Oswego and they're really fast. Cool little cars.

And on that note... Chris Perley, returning to full time competition, lays a beating on the field in the ISMA opener at Oswego Saturday night. Teammate, and TQ Midget driver on the side, Lou Ciconni broke the track record for Winged Supers in Time Trials lapping the 5/8 oval in 15.164 seconds. With three more stops to the Steel Palace this year for the Winged Warriors it is certainly possible that the outright track record could be broken.

Just got some bad news for ya! :/ Hope to see ya there for the race! :)

@USLegendCars scheduled practice for tomorrow May 6th @CLTMotorSpdwy has been canceled. @RaceINEX @HawkSMI Not rescheduled.

In other news, it looks like Jack in the Box is sponsoring the Summer Shootout Series again this year and will have tape delay TV coverage on FOX Sports South on the monday after the race at 6PM (check local listings). Not sure if they are streaming this year or not.

But I'll be up there for the race. Hope to see you there as well. :)

My 2nd race did not go much better than the first. I drew pole for the race. Unfortunately the impatient driver starting 4th turned the guy in 2nd before we even got to the start/finish line to start lap 1, slamming him into my door, and causing a red flag. At the conclusion of the red flag my car wouldn't refire.

You didn't go all Mike Simko on him. I'm disappointed.

Just got back from Auburndale a few hours ago. There were 23 late models so there was no LCQ race. The feature race was decent, but the story of the night was by far the last turn of the last lap.

Jeff Scoffield started the race from the pole after the invert. There were only a few minor accidents that slowed the action. The 100 lap race was ran in just under and hour. Scoffield nearly led wire-to-wire, but coming to the checkered flag, without any assitance, spun out off of turn 4. The entire top 10 was bumper to bumper right behind him. As he spun, the second place car #77 took evasive action through the grass on the front stretch, spinning across the line in first and nearly slamming head on into the front stretch wall. Anthony Campi in the #81 finished second, scoffield didn't even finish in the top 5.

But it's not over, come to find out, the #77 failed post race tech inspection and was disqualified, for what exact reason I do not know yet. If this is true then #81 Anthony Campi would be declared the winner and take the $5000 grand prize.

There was a small camera crew there shooting for a local sports channel (Bright House Sports Network.) I think they said the show was called "Lights, Camera, Traction." If I can find out when that airs I will try to record and upload it.

1 year, 8 months later, lol

Hearing a rumor that Charlotte Motor Speedway will have a live stream up of tonight's round of the Jack in the Box Summer Shootout Series. I will be racing tonight in the Legends Young Lions division.

FOX has added three live Whelen Modified Tour races to this year's schedule. The Loudon race in July will air on SPEED; the August Bristol race and September Loudon race will air on FOX Sports 2 (formerly Fuel).

In addition, the season finale at Thompson in October will air tape delayed on SPEED (which will be FOX Sports 1 by that point).
