Boone did a 3 wide start with the Late Models tonight, was pretty good & surprisingly clean early on - then went to locked down huggy pole at the end from what I hear, Fulton had some drama with one of the crate classes tonight |

Oswego season opener was pretty good (at least I thought) across all 3 divisions. Car counts were surprising higher than what I expected for the Supers. All 3 races were pretty decent, Super feature got really good with lap traffic. from what I've seen on social media, SMART Tour race at Franklin County was pretty wild. |

death, taxes & North Carolina based race tracks conflicting with each other - thus making it 3 major racing events within a 2 hour driving distance on the same day https://www.shorttrackscene.com/late-mo ... tire-test/ I will never understand why Caraway/NSS (previously Concord & Hickory) and now again with Rockingham (as they did this w/ the NASCAR K&N weekend previously) thinks it's a good idea to sell itself short by running against WoO - which pre-COVID was a sold out grandstand for like 10 straight years |

Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series has canceled their races scheduled for this weekend at 411 and Talladega due to the Colonial Pipeline ransomware attack / gasoline shortages (which are 100 times worse from the idiots hoarding supply) https://lucasdirt.com/news/latest-news/ ... ubleheader |

CARS Tour at Rockingham rescheduled for November 6 so officially, all within in a 2 1/2 hour radius - on that date, we have: World of Outlaws World Finals at Charlotte CARS Late Model Stocks at Rockingham North South Shootout at Caraway the following is me trying to pick & choose, like seriously NC race promoters are stupid |

Racer, that is stupid and it sucks for anyone trying to cover or just be a fan of those events. They are going to seriously cannibalize their ticket sales. Wreck, that's cool. I hear the CoL in CA is stupid high in some areas due to the tech boom. Of course, northern Virginia is not that cheap anymore either, not that it ever was. In my area, they are trying to Multifamily everything and rezone/redevelop everything else. Big reason why Southside couldn't survive, especially with a lackluster attendance in recent years (which I unfortunately didn't contribute to either. Don't know what you've got til it's gone.)
