5/8 mile track at 150 mph? That's almost disturbing.

Now I want super mods and that track on iRacing, lol.

Couple things...

1) They measure the track at 5/8 mile, but it's a small 5/8 mile. They're brutally fast though. They don't look like they're going that fast until something goes wrong. People here in CT always say Thompson this and Thompson that... I tell them Thompson's nice but go to Oswego if you want to see a really fast 5/8 track. Little bit of bias on my part.

2) I believe they have it for iracing but I'm not sure if it's available to all. I know my buddy races a league that runs non-wing supers at Oswego in iracing but I believe it's invite only to get the track and cars. Not really sure since I don't play iracing.

It's not iRacing you are talking about.

Saw the SuperMods in their one-off race at Albany-Saratoga. The track was freshly paved but they never finished the apron in the turns and the race was pretty much a disaster. west, if you have not read about this race (hell, you were probably there) try to dig up some articles on it. It was a few years back.

Sigh... I was there. I'm the guy who flipped off the ISMA announcer in the booth when they wouldn't get rid of the goddamn cones on the inside. Got his attention though. Race was a total shit show. From the firecrew in a minivan to the lone tow truck to the ISMA flagger having to show the fire dept how to spread oil dry, the day was a mess.

Thank God they went back dirt with Howie Commander running the place. Went there last summer. One of the best run show's I've ever seen and by far the best show I've ever seen at Malta (Albany-Saratoga.)

Sadly, this was the only time I've seen the supermods. Grew up going to Malta and was pissed when they paved it. The old track promoter, Bruce, was sitting behind me for a portion of that race and he spent the whole time making excuses. Not sure why the normal track crew was not there that day, but that wouldn't have changed the fact that the track was unfinished.

You're right about the new regime though. Everything is better now, from the way races are run all the way down to the food and beer selection.

Well the forecast deteriorated badly for tonight so we didn't make the trip up there. Might go with the Mom & Dad next Saturday for the non-wing season opener. With the forecast looking iffy for tonight even for Lebanon Valley, it looks like a Talladega weekend and yardwork.

I guess I'll be racing at Atlanta Motor Speedway this weekend for the first time, on the 1/4 mile.

That's the plan! Along side Summer Shootout up at Charlotte, I'll definitely be back the next round on the 5th.

I finished 3rd Saturday... That track is really technical, and quite a bit different from Charlotte/Texas.

That was an ambulance..The automotive company I guess that had the ambulance paid to wrap it and paid to be used as a mobile billboard/pace car. I don't plan on wrecking my car haha. I'm still not sure if its messed up from that hit, when he pushed me in, you can barely see but he gets me in the left front corner a bit, and that pushed the inside bumper bar/plastic into the tire. At the time I didn't know what was going on, which is why I backed it down a bit and took it easy.
