He used to back when Madhouse was on tv. I am not sure if he's still there or not.

Speaks highly of the kind of race fan BGS gets if they fill the place to see that kind of asshatery. If this is the kind of fan that NASCAR is looking for overall, or if this is what the average fan is expecting to see at the higher levels, then fuck that.

I know that if I saw the kind of nonsense going on a BGS week after week at any of my local tracks I would be finding a new Saturday night track. I pay to see a race, not childish, dangerous bullshit antics. Once in a while sure, it happens, but every week? Do these idiots have sponsors? If they do, HOW? Would you want your name associated with these clowns?

Bowman Gray is actually featured on this week's "Mobil 1: The Grid" that does the rounds on Motors TV or Channel 4 (early mornings) here.

They don't mention its wild reputation at all, just focus on Tim Brown racing

We won't have to worry about any idiocy tonight at Bowman Gray since tonight's racing was rained out.

I got a sample of some Bowman Gray idiocy at my local dirt track, the Senoia Raceway.

One division had the entire field taken out in two large accidents before the completion of a single green flag lap, the result of one driver letting some frustrations loose on another. Another division saw a third of the field wiped out before the first green flag lap.

And then there was a "waterless boat" race. Cars drag boats around on a rope.

This was the aftermath.

The tracks that have the "Day/Night of Destruction" promotion is basically that times 10.

Here's a sample:

Thinking about going to go watch these guys race at Anderson Speedway next week. Tim Brown, Burt and Jason Myers, Jeremy Mayfield all run in it.

A friend of mine, Gordy Gundaker picked up his first Super Late Model feature win last night in Quincy, IL. His father Kevin, is a very successful dirt racer in the St. Louis area.

Isn't Kevin the guy who ran over that EMT in ARCA back in 1990?
