So, ASA's return featured Boris Jurkovic throwing a fire extinguisher at Billy Van Meter's car after a wreck and Bubba Pollard jumping Casey Roderick in the tech area after the race. Roderick won the race and apologized in his victory lane interview after the race.

Things got a little interesting in the Dirt Super Late Model world on Saturday night. Ashton Winger, who was involved in a highly publicized incident with Mack McCarter at I-75 Raceway last year driving a car owned by GR Smith, this time is racing against GR Smith at Southern Raceway, and shit went down....

Winger and a crewman for Smith were both arrested.

Hate I missed it. Getting off work at 5 though, there was no chance of getting to the track and getting a good tier parking spot or good grandstand seat and maybe not getting there at all if the photos of the backup on I-81 trying to get there were any indication.

Hoping to get to go to Wythe tonight, but that's looking doubtful as well with the weather.

So, Annabeth Barnes Crum lost her mind.

And this what her husband, former truck series driver, Jake Crum did to Landon Huffman's father, Robert Huffman in the spotters' stand.

In a follow up to the incident. Jake Crum was arrested and charged with assault. Annabeth Crum's penalties are still pending.

Need to see the initial incident and the failed retaliation first.

My second thought is suspension for the remainder of the season.

Justin Peck had a nasty crash last night in the ASCoC race at Bridgeport. Though it doesn't look bad from the video, when you hear the details of the aftermath, Justin was lucky to walk away from this one.

The wing/rollcage wound up in the opening of the catch fence when it turned over, and the rollcage was actually broken off Justin's car.

NASCAR has made their ruling in regards to the incident at Hickory. I guess he didn't have a NASCAR license and now he won't have one for the rest of the year. His wife apparently got no punishment, which makes no sense to me because this is not the first time she's run into another driver's car under caution this year.

We were watching that at the shop. Thought for sure he was going to the hospital after that one. That was pretty bad all the way around bit mercifully he took a lot of glancing blows when he came off the fence.

A lot of cage failures in the sprint cars of late. While hundreds of tracks need safety improvements, the likelihood of it is low. Short tracks have limited funds to work with and most of them need expensive upgrades.

The quicker version is to reinforce the cars. 950HP with chassis built from conduit need to change. Larger, thicker tubing and better bracing. V-Bar in the top of the cage would also help prevent intrusion and reinforce it against and hit to the top.

Peck was very lucky.

So I’m looking at the map and I see I’m only about a two hour drive from Slinger. Saw I’m off work today and decided to drive myself up there. This track is pretty cool.

Hunter Robbins wins the Snowflake 100 for the 2nd time in his career and for the first time since 2005. He started from the pole and battled New England driver, Mike Hopkins throughout much of the race. Robbins got ahead of Hopkins on a late-race restart and held him off for the win. Hunter Robbins won driving for Ronnie Sanders. This is the first Snowball Derby week win for Ronnie Sanders' team since 1977, when Ronnie Sanders won the Snowball Derby.
