This should be pretty self-explanatory.

8/10 from me - Great racing with a disappointing end.

7/10 - Some of the best racing during Speedweeks but the rained-out finish killed it.

The conditions made it a total Catch-22; either the weather stays fine and you have a guaranteed 200 laps with 150 laps of boredom and 50 laps of tast racing, or you have what we have today with 100+ laps of awesome racing but no way of knowing when the race will end.

Can't really complain about much at all. I'll give it an 8.

8 - thought Speed week was awesome also. Really enjoyed the race.

Rain caused an anti-climax but still very good and much enjoyed.

Lead seemed to only change on restarts and after that it was key to be in the lead. The last 50 laps seemed to drag on and the race never seemed to gain any type of momentum. The race was the 18s until he got taken out and after that it seemed who ever won the race in the pits won the battle to the front. Commercials every 10 laps and the few passes for the lead seemed to happen during breaks. Plus the way the race ended and the fact that guys in the back continue to wreck when the racing is starting to build in the front just ruined this race.

1/10 and that's it. All this was was a glorified drafting practice where at the end of the session they show you the standings and you go "oooo he was #1, gj"

Because the speedweek thread was locked, I'm going to say this about this. According to the recording station at Daytona Beach International Airport, the rain ended at 8:27PM local. Three hours to dry the track is bullshit it would be more like two. The race would have been restarting right now or within the next half hour.

which would mean it would probably finish somewhere between 11 and midnight. that'd be great if the finish turned out to be awesome, but most people don't get President's Day off from work...

All NASCAR and FOX had to do was say, here, we're going to show the regularly scheduled programing, let the local news do their thing and at 10:30/9:30CST restart the race for all to see. This isn't rocket science but hey the teams gotta load up and head to California and stuff. Ponderosa closes at 10 so better let the teams get to the self serve yogurt bar before its too late.

I voted 10, but I'm obviously biased.

I knew I would regret this on the old thread. The race was alright, but the finish stills pisses me off. Here's how I would rank it

10/10 for racing
+1 for WILD THANG wrecking
-1 for Vickers blaming SENIOR'S SON in JUNE BUG NATION
-5 for the end (Thanks Mike Helton for ruining another race)
+2 for Kenseth winning
-1 for Martin going 0-25
+1 for the hell of it

7/10 'nuff said

I give it a 7. I was thoroughly entertained and I'm not too incredibly upset about the race being called early. I can imagine the ending being some massive wreck resulting in a GWC, leading into another massive wreck that ends the race early. Some thoughts:

The Yates team was hit hard with some bad luck again. Kvapil and Menard were victims of circumstance. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I'm really, really hoping Kvapil can get in a couple of good runs and win over some sponsorship commitment. After last year, I can tell he's got some real talent. I need a new favorite driver, and Menard seems like kind of a douche.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. has lost a lot of respect in my book. He wouldn't accept the blame for wrecking the field, he wouldn't accept the blame for pitting outside the box, and he wouldn't initially accept the blame for passing his pit box ("My sign is pink and every other sign is pink too!") It was quite a pitiful moment.

The top-10 was pretty tast in my opinion. Most of the big names were either wrecked or buried in the field after pitting before the final caution. Congrats to Kenseth, Allmendinger, Sadler, Ambrose, and even ol' Million Dollar Bill on a solid finish.

Glad to be back in NASCAR season! :)

8/10

Great race to watch. Shame it rained. NASCAR needs to start races earlier, it woulda missed the rain.
