what a pitty :( when rain starts, they should bring cars to the garage, change for rain tyres (If it existed) and then make the race in the Roval....imagine? I know most part of the Roval in in the oval but it would be already something not to break the climax of Daytona 500. Anyway, congratulations Kenseth.

I hope your joking.

Of course it's an exotic idea, I recognize it....but something should be done not to have a race finished that way.

That is the stupidest idea I've seen here.

Yeah you are right. Goodyear does make shit tires. Bridgestone should come in and the tire problems would be limited.

Rain will be there for 1 1/2 hours. The high humidity would make it slow to dry and by then it'll be late, that's why they called it.

That would make it about 9pm Eastern. They've got floodlights.

Once dry it'll be nearer 11PM.

So? it's 11pm. you know that back in the day the race woulda been finished, even if it wasnt on tv. and mike helton saying that the fans are tired and want to leave is BS. they stay till monday anyways, and have been drunk for 3 days, give them a checkers.

I have a question about the NASCAR rule book. On whatever caution it was Dale Earnhardt Jr. recieved a lucky dog lap back. He was a lap down from a NASCAR given penalty, I thought the rule was that Lucky Dogs dont apply to you if you are a lap down because of a penalty.

Yeah a NASCAR got the same amount of downforce as a F1 car :flag: . I shouldn't even be bothered to answer to this.

Amidst the hoopla, I think nobody has realized that AJ Allmendinger was classified 3rd on the standings.

So great job for AJ and those guys.

Allmendinger is giving himself a good chance to run the rest of the season.

For those whining about stock cars and no rain tires, a grooved tire isn't going to hold up to 100+ MPH on 31 degrees of banking. :flag:
