First North Wilkesboro, now Nashville Fairgrounds.

Is it too late to allocate a couple million bucks in the California state budget to build a carbon copy of Riverside?

it's incredible to see how bring the futures are for Nashville, North Wilkesboro & Rockingham are currently.

Hope that SMI doesn't toy with the track design too much (kinda hope they replace the concrete walls w/ SAFER in the same location rather than bolt them up; narrowing either track would hurt the racing IMO)

also interesting to see how that future is gonna play out and what dates go where; especially relative to what Liberty / Formula 1 does in Austin & Las Vegas (especially relative on if LV tourism keeps paying for 2 NASCAR races alongside it or not) - and if Atlanta does get their casino plans approved or not.

literally everyone: gives NASCAR a diagram on how to not sink the damn titanic

NASCAR in response: ignores it, dumps 100 gallons of gasoline on it & lights a match as the titanic starts to sink

Morons. The new car is something that actually had me interested to see how it raced, but they're going to push me back away with this trash.

I mean they already pushed me away, and as I have aged, my taste in racing has evolved. NASCAR evolved with the new car in a way that brought it closer to what I now enjoy, but junk like this makes me not care.

We should literally kill everyone in charge of the series.

NASCAR will never learn. The only way out of this is the France Family finally sells the series to someone else, clean house, and reboot the series.

Which will probably be to Liberty Media.

I wouldn't wish a CART/IRL-type split on anyone but.... yeah, NASCAR deserves it at this point.

Lookin' at you, Tony Stewart.

That could only happen if the showpiece event was part of the "new series"

That can't happen because Daytona is owned by NASCAR

Been a busy day at Charlotte (and that Reddick crash wasn't particularly hard, btw).

Teams trying out all kinds of different horsepower and aero combinations/updates. They also ran 2-3 little mock races to see how the changes impact actual racing. I think the teams are supposed to debrief with NASCAR tomorrow and then return Friday for another full day of testing, probably with more changes based on what's learned today/discussed tomorrow.

I watched the live stream when they did mock racing with two different 670hp packages. The racing was... surprisingly good! The cars weren't glued to the racetrack, they weren't full throttle the whole way around the track, you could actually run different lines and get runs on other cars, dirty air wasn't like a brick wall, and the cars were noticeably faster. Here's video of one of the segments of mock racing.
