Joey Logano is going to be one of the great talents of our generation and there's no real valid arguement against it at the moment.

Target to return to Ganassi in 2009: Target has agreed to an extension that should afford him [Chip Ganassi] to run two Cup cars next season and #42-Juan Pablo Montoya is committed to him. If he had lost either, as many had speculated would happen, the end indeed would be near. Ganassi president Steve Lauletta made it clear that Ganassi has no plans to merge. He said that the organization without a doubt will field two teams next season and that, if sponsorship comes along, it easily could go to three or four teams. He could sign another open-wheel driver [to fill Sorenson's #41 ride], perhaps Dan Wheldon or Scott Dixon off his own IndyCar Series team. He could bring back Franchitti, which Lauletta said is a possibility based on the way Franchitti has performed in the Nationwide Series car.(in part from ESPN.com)(8-27-2008)
I know they have a good relationship with Ganassi, but Target has to know that their stock car program isn't going anywhere.

I gotta be honest, I did not expect Target to come back to Cup.

If Target goes, his IRL team goes too.

Edwards and Busch placed on Probation: NASCAR announced that it has placed #18-Kyle Busch and #99-Carl Edwards on probation for the next six races in the Sprint Cup Series, as a result of their on-track incident last Saturday at the conclusion of the race at Bristol Motor Speedway. Busch and Edwards both violated Section 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing; hitting another competitor’s car after the race had concluded) of the 2008 NASCAR rule book. The probation takes effect beginning with this weekend’s event at Auto Club Speedway.(NASCAR PR)

Logano will have that car in the top ten. I mean, if Raines could pull a good run out of his ass every now and then, Joey can exceed him by far.

That's a bold statement. I'm really positive on Logano as well but getting that team a top ten with only 5 tries seems a tall order for anyone.

I bet JGR dumps a shitload into that 96 car. I doubt the car Logano drives is the same shit Yeley has been jacking around all year in.

I doubt there was much of an equipment difference to begin with, but they'll probably have some JGR engineers over there this week sorting shit out.
