Remember when drivers would cut the backstretch chicane so much that they flung mud onto the track, causing cars to spin out at the strangest place possible (chicane exit)?

Good news, NASCAR decided to do something about it. Their solution for the course cutting is...add more concrete on the inside of the corners? For sausage kerbs?

They learned nothing, did they...

I am kinda hoping he shows up here for a rare appearance to explain what happened, because it's not like we'll ever get the full story from the TV coverage

It might take the rest of the season but hopefully at some point he'll remember his login and give us the inside story

Yeah, I'm curious to know.

I wasn't making that post to pick on him, by the way. It was just too much to pass up.

From what I gather, he flat-spotted the tires avoiding a wreck that triggered the caution in question. Unfortunately, even going at low speeds to preserve a car with punctured tires (because the last thing you want is the tire to shred bodywork), it turns out that it's difficult to keep the car straight when tires are compromised, especially on the high banks. The end result is that incident and LOL JET DRYER memes resurfaced.

I wish iRacing used those rounded curbs on the frontstretch chicane instead of the goddamn square mountains they put out there.

I think I'll go buy some stuff from Camping World now. What Marcus is doing for NASCAR, NHRA & motorsports in general is insane

He does seem to be throwing a lot of money around. I just wonder how long it's going to be sustainable for.

Here's the deal that Marcus Lemonis is offering for the unsponsored teams at Vegas. $15k to wrap the truck, $25k if the truck finishes top 10, $35k for a top 5 finish, $50k for a win. So far, the following teams have taken him up on the deal: #3 Jordan Anderson, #9 Grant Enfinger, #33 Jesse Iwuji, #34 BJ McLeod, #41 Dawson Cram and #75 Parker Kligerman. That's great to see him helping the unsponsored teams. I'm sure they really appreciate the chance to have some extra money to pay the bills.

He's worth about half a billion and it's not too likely that his 15k bet will end up costing him 50k. This is a great thing for everyone involved; the guy is basically what William Storey thinks he is.

As long as he's not doing a J.D. Stacy, that's fine by me.

Add Sheldon Creed, Norm Benning and Raphael Lessard to the list of Camping World Sponsored trucks at Las Vegas.
