In my defense I didn't expect ideas such as this:

Great news here involving NASCAR in Brazilian TV, the long-term voice of IndyCar in Brazil, Téo José was fired last month from IndyCar hosts in Band Network and now he was hired in Fox Sports. He's going to host NASCAR races for the first time begining next Weekend with the Atlanta race. I'm sure Brazil's Fox Sports and its NASCAR coverage will win a lot with Téo.

NASCAR raised the purses for most of the Modified races this year. Also swapped competition cautions for live pit stops at a few races (i.e. Loudon in July, Oswego).

if it stays at 36 cars, that will be the smallest field since martinsville in '96 which also had 36 cars. however that race had 43 entries. the last race with 36 or less total entries was martinsville in '93.

The fall race that year had only 35 entries, as Jimmy Means was the only driver to miss the show since the field had 34 cars.

Anyone have an idea how the new ride height rules might impact the racing at the downforce tracks? I was thinking about it a little yesterday and wasn't totally sure which way things could go.

From my understanding, they already had scrapped any ride height rule at the non-plate tracks a while ago, so the only change this year is to the plate tracks.

Oh, that's probably right. I guess I overlooked that bit.

So, the answer is NASCAR will still be sleepy time until further notice.

Really, the only good entertainment now is Bubba Wallace standing up to Denny Hamlin after what Bubba said that "he needs some Adderall" after shoving him to the wall at Daytona.

watch the youtube of denny's onboard. you can easily see the tire blow - wallace's fault if anything.

i love bubba and am really excited he finished 2nd, but saying personal shit about somebody when you dont have all the facts is a rookie mistake. if i were denny i'd be pissed too

If Denny wasn't such an asshat, didn't have a history of walling drivers when he's about to lose the lead and didn't talk out his ass about how 70% of drivers are on adderall, Bubba probably wouldn't have said anything. When nobody likes you, these things happen.

you should check out that adderall interview. the interviewer kept pressing hamlin to tell him how many drivers take adderall and he told him he didnt know. when the guy kept asking he gave him a bullshit number that wasn't meant to be taken seriously.

does he deserve some ridicule for what went down at martinsville last year? sure. but lets not make up shit just to hate on people we dont like.

Burt Myers & Jimmy Blewett sharing one of the EHR Modified rides this year on the Tour. Jimmy running most of the races in the summer that conflict with Myers' schedule at Bowman Gray. Burt running the other races.
