promoter of the Canadian Grand Prix wants a NASCAR Cup / Xfinity / IMSA super weekend at Montreal.

Unless ISC or SMI themselves promote it, I doubt there's a chance it happens sadly.

Last time I was in Montreal was for the GP 14 years ago. I could be persuaded to not remember being there again if that show were to happen.

or was that taken care of by Phoenix and Homestead?

Thankfully I've been in touch with Brett Bodine pretty regularly and updated him with everything I was doing, he told me after Homestead that I was approved for Daytona... BUT that he would "really be happy" if I at least ran the ARCA test and race. I had done the ARCA test back in 2014, and thankfully Jay (owner of Premium) was really great friends with Andy Hillenburg, who gladly allowed me to run 30-ish laps in the test earlier this month. So Brett was definitely happy with that, and now off we go.

Man, so happy for ya Zippy!! I don't get on here much anymore but wanted to congratulate you on this HUGE achievement...you're doing what we all here have dreamed at some point!!

Not sure how legit but they're talking during the first Indycar test session about the Indycar schedule and out of nowhere they start saying there's been "A lot of talk" in NASCAR circles about NASCAR starting their season earlier in January to pull the end of their season forwards before football's playoffs too.

First time I've ever heard of this, anyone else? :?

More rumors going around about NASCAR possibly being within a combined sale along with ISC & SMI.

I think NASCAR will have a new owner by the end of the decade. Not sure how wise of an investment it will be, but some folks have more money than sense these days.

Let's scrape a few bucks together around the forum and buy it so we can make all the required fixes.

As the article mentions, he's had plenty of head injuries in his driving career. Can't help but wonder if this could be CTE-related.

That's what I was thinking... just didn't know how to word it.

You may remember him from such NASCAR crashes as pounding the hell out of the inside barrier at top speed at Talladega in 2012 and rail riding down the safer barrier

The awkward moment when a Pinty's Camaro variant looks better than the Cup variant.
