But only if they don't run that fucking chicane.

Need to run the classic course. I like to pretend the newer sections don't exist.

Fuck yeah Lime Rock. :flag:

I really doubt they'd run the chicane. It's only purpose is to keep the lighter, faster cars from blowing over at the crest of the hill.

I love standing on the backstretch watching the cars crest the hill. RPM's shoot through the roof. So awesome to hear.

Give them the whole weekend. Lime Rock is the Martinsville of short tracks. It'll be a badass race.

On the bright side, this will give Michael Waltrip the impartiality necessary to continue working in the Fox Sports booth.

On the downside, Michael Waltrip will be able to continue working in the Fox Sports booth.

NASCAR wants to put restrictor plates on the cars at Fontana and Michigan. Engine builder Doug Yates has said they have spend around $3 million bucks more then at this time last year just because of the package changes with the tapered spacer.

Oh fuck that. Especially at Fontana. That track is so flat and worn out there's no need to slow them down.

Hopefully all the teams tell NASCAR to pound sand and they go start their own series.

Somebody needs to kidnap Brian France, show him some of the races from the 90s and hit him until he understands why the racing was better. It wasn't because cars were stacked up 3 wide 10 deep every lap. It was because the car's relative strengths changed through the race, races were allowed to play out without fake cautions to see it, and cars could pass eachother without losing all handling.

I'm waiting for the day Nascar announces it's new television package for 2018 and beyond: MAVTV and Velocity will split the broadcasting schedule and the races will be preempted by snowmobile drag racing and Formula Drift.

Fuck Doug Yates and the rest of the whiney bitch ass nascar teams. NASCAR already tried to make an across the board racecar to save teams money with the COT. The idea was, the template box is so tight you don't have to build special cars anymore. Take this thing to Fontana, Martinsville, Talladega, and Watkins Glen. It's supposed to be all the same. What did the teams do? Spend fuck tons of money trying to make the thing crabwalk down the track and all sorts of other stupid shit to gain an advantage. Teams are ALWAYS going to spend more money to gain an advantage. Make every track have a different set of rules. Take away the gear rule and the shock rule and let them build whatever million dollar shocks and 50 sets of gear ratios .01 apart from each other to gain whatever advantage they need. Who gives a fuck as long as they put on a good race. That's the biggest problem. Teams don't give a fuck about the race as long as they win, NASCAR doesn't give a fuck who wins as long as it's a good race.

Oh but Hendrick has so many employees and we have to cut costs and lay guys off.. Yeah start with the fucking overpaid engineers, drop the drivers salary a few million.. Seriously. This is as bad as the NFL guys bitching about getting hurt. You get paid millions to get knocked the fuck out. Collect your paycheck and take the risk or watch on tv like everyone else does.
