Say goodbye to Noah Gragson. Apparently he liked some racist tweets :flag:

You don't even have to say or do anything, now it's just like something. The world is a fucking joke now.

He liked a post mocking the murder of George Floyd. How about you sit this one out, bud?

Regular people find that stuff pretty repugnant. Also not a great look for a guy representing a whole team and a bunch of sponsors to very publicly show his whole ass like that. Hope this helps.

Social media is given far more “stock” than it should be, he liked a random post containing a (admittedly touchy subject) meme, what people tend to forget when clutching their pearl necklaces about things like this is they’re only a policy change away from being in that position themselves one day.

I’m so glad social media wasn’t around when I was these kids ages, I also think what will start to happen is personalities will become less engaged on social media moving forward, or the handling of their social media accounts will be handed over to PR firms, it’s just not going to be worth the risk of allowing your “representative” to have free reign in public, we’ll go back to having secret recordings of people gobbling off like what happened in the 90’s.

Also reading rumours that this was the excuse needed rather than an out and out as the team have been trying to sign JHN for the seat recently, but sacking the kid will also be good for everybody’s ESG scores too, especially NASCAR who seem to love that sort of thing now.

Sigh... Dumbness.

Who knows, could be the best thing that ever happened to him. Certainly was for Larson. He at least said something rather than pressing the like button.

So what you’re saying is he’ll be in the rebranded 48 running under the 15 in 2025? LOL

private industry they can do what they want i guess but simple "like button hit "? seems like an incendiary reaction granted i have not seen the Meme and it was undoubtedly done in bad taste its not the same as a poorly thought out drunken midnight tweet or being caught on camera using racist language good riddance either way i guess

So I got ears, I use them when I'm sitting in the seats at races. Been trying to go to more short track events and I hear the conversations going on around me. I don't know if American oval racing can ever shake its smooth brain ignorant stereotype fan base but I know NASCAR can't let anything like this slide on the national level if they ever want to get back the popularity it had 20 years ago. Optics are everything and Gragson liking memes about the most racially charged event in American history since the assassination of MLK will never fly. The angry upset dipshits sitting in the seats don't have their name on the side of his car. They're not pouring millions into LMC, they're not on the national radar. Gragson is a fucking moron for thinking he wouldn't get noticed.

The Floyd incident is always going to be an untouchable topic in Nascar's eyes. They've benefitted immensely from the nationwide movement that followed afterwards, the noose incident that unified the whole garage, the removal of the Confederate flag, MJ becoming an owner, and Bubba getting top equipment to become a household name. Understandably its not something they want joked about.

If you're on social media, you know that every like you make is seen. Even if he liked the humor of the post but not the topic, that's now it's going to be seen as.

If you're going to have social media, either leave it to comms professionals or just use it for inane stuff that is irrelevant.

Gragson officially sacked. Rockefeller will drive the 42 at Indy and Watkins.

Legacy said he was NOT fired. I think Rockenfeller is just the guy who’s filling in this week while Noah is suspended.

Rodney King might like a word about that.

I think you guys forget I’m from the south side of Chicago and was around in 92. The LA riots were nothing compared to 2020.

Katherine Legge is not going to be running the Xfinity Series this weekend for SS Greenlight Racing because of the ongoing strike in Hollywood, of all reasons. Colin Garrett will race the car instead.

Rodney King also survived his encounter with police brutality.
