OK, so the Kasey Kahne thing is messed up. First off, I can totally side with him on the fact that, if you're not expecting to see a woman breastfeeding, it can be quite an eye-opener... especially if they're not doing a good job of covering up. I don't care if the girl's attractive or not, it's like "aahhhhh-huhhh yep, I'm looking elsewhere".

Second, the woman (who, regrettably, is also on Twitter) is making a huge deal because... wait for it... she's a feminist. It's on her profile description stating that she is, like some kind of job title. She also has her exchange with him as her userpic. What the hell, man?

It's weird, and it better blow over soon.

He should have known better than to try and make it an issue on twitter, or at least just ignored her when she baited him and let his fans go after her. He's a bit of a prick saying he took a second look just to make sure too....

All he needed to say was something like "saw some woman breast feeding in the freezer aisle, bet that was a bit chilly" or something daft like that.

It's not that big of an issue. People are too sensitive nowadays...

Maybe they were 30-40 years ago, but with social networking and improvements in technology, it's far easier to say something and have 20 people call you out on it.

yeah that's what I meant, people make a mountain out of a mole hill over the slightest little thing nowdays, Kasey included, he must have had a very sheltered upbringing if he's never seen that before now.

I'll definitely agree that he probably shouldn't have been sucked into saying anything to her, and even shouldn't have said exactly what he said on Twitter. I have a filter when it comes to saying stuff in public, so I can only imagine how tough it would be when you're a person in the public eye to avoid saying pretty much anything offensive.

You could tweet "I love Mega Man 2 more than Mega Man 3", and if you're famous, you'd get blasted for it. :)

But in all seriousness, I'm just bummed out that it's even news. How sad is that? How sad has society become, anyway? You can't even fart without someone being offended. :(

Goes back to being "politically correct." If I said it, I would only get a rise of...oh, about 5 people. Kasey, however, is a public figure, so you can only imagine the reaction when he tweeted that out.

I don't like it...it's his Twitter account, and his sponsors make it very clear that his views do not necessarily reflect the company's. We should leave it at that.

One last note - if he were to get booed next year as a result of this when he wins in 2012 (which I think he will do a few times), we can all just pretend fans are just saying "BOOOOOOOOBS".

And that's all I'll say on the subject! ;)

Also, it only took 3 years, but 1000 posts. Whoopee!

David Ragan and Cole Whitt are the leading candidates to replace Aric Almirola in JR Motorsports' #88 Nationwide team in 2012, sources said. A decision is expected early next week, around the time Almirola's move to the Sprint Cup Series and Richard Petty Motorsports' #43 Ford should be officially announced.(Charlotte Observer)(12-29-2011)

Please pick Cole. I saw Cole make his first laps at Kokomo Speedway in a sprint car back in early 2006. You could tell the kid was special then. He came a LONG way in a short time. He is the modern day equivalent of Jeff Gordon imo. The kid deserves a shot in good equipment and proper funding.

Wasn't he with Red Bull from his USAC years up to until recently? That seems like pretty decent funding/equipment to me.

Chances are, he looked at a fat girl's breasts. Make up your own Scott Steiner fat joke here.

How dare he share an opinion that the majority of people would probably agree with.

I read on Jayski that appearently Smithfield Foods is going to be the new sponsor on the #43 car. It sounds like they are going to share sponsorship on the car with the Air Force.

Here's what's stupid:

Kahne sees a woman breastfeeding and is offended by it. He tweets to let others know he is offended by seeing this in public.

Others read Kahne's tweet and they are offended. They tweet back to let others know they are offended.

REMIND ME AGAIN WHY KAHNE IS THE ONE APOLOGIZING.
