Earl.

Nah, I can't hate Carl like I can Kyle. :(

I expect a great championship in 2009. Now that Im with Speed in High Definition at my home, it´s much easier to get NASCAR coverage, all races live and that means I wont depend on live streams anymore to follow this series, it will mean I'll consume it more, so all that makes me think Im gonna enjoy a lot next years championship, and cheering for Juan Pablo Montoya, el gordito, Im sure next year he will be in the Chase.

boogity, boogity, boogity, lets go racing boys :flag:

I expect Montoya to win on some ovals now because he will have chevy engines and a bigger team.

My expectations:

Mark Martin wins the first Sprint Championship.
Mark Martin finishes twenty top ten times.
Jeff Gordon gets two victories.
Joey Logano and David Ragan get their first victories.
Tony Stewart, Kevin Harvick, and Kurt Busch struggle through this season.
At least 4 flips this season.
Kyle Busch goes to the anger management class.
Carl Edwards gets most pole.
Juan Montoya and Scott Speed get fired.
Clint Bowyer and Jeff Burton run great season.
#43 gets first victory this season.
Banning Buschwackers.
Michael Waltrip and Individual Owners struggle with economic problems.
Robby Gordon wins both road courses (Watkins Glen and Sonoma)
Wreck-fests (Coca Cola 600 and Amp Energy 500)

I'm going to watch more races this year since I actually have time. This is what I think will happen.

-Good racing ruined by invisibris or stupid moves.
-Daytona 500 will be a night race.
-Trucks will kick ass.
-There will be at least one controversial finish that involves whining and Nascar not following their rules.
-All of the spectacular wrecks will happen under commercial.

I will be here on the forums when these things happen, and it will be most entertaining.

NASCAR moved the time a couple years ago so the final 1/4 of the race or so is in dusk/night. It was intentional. So that's actually a given... some what.

You know whats funny? The people who complain about the possibility of low car counts are the same ones who think the solution to Martinsville's ridiculous amounts of cautions are, you got it, lower car counts.

If that's the biggest problem this year, then I think I'll manage it just fine.

No Hot Pass in 2009?
UPDATE 2: The NASCAR Hot Pass on DirecTV won’t return in 2009 as it has been produced, NASCAR spokesman Ramsey Poston confirmed Wednesday. Hot Pass typically would feature four/five drivers on four/five different channels with a play-by-play announcer and pit reporter for each driver. The driver’s channel would include video of the car throughout the race from several angles. It was offered on a subscription basis. “Hot Pass as we know it today is changing,” Poston said in a statement. “Fans are still going to get unique content from DirecTV, but they won’t be getting fully produced channels. We’re still in discussion with DirecTV for enhancements for 2009.”(SceneDaily)(12-10-2008)
