Your boy is the worst driver on the grid, that's what's funny.

Mears is bad but SAM is the worst by far.

I don't think Ambrose is eligible for ROTY. It will be between Joey Logano and Scott Speed.

Anyways...I usually don't make predictions, but I'm going to give it a try for 2009. Here are my 10 predictions:

- Notable winners in 2009: Brian Vickers (1), David Ragan (2+), Jamie McMurray (1, maybe 2)
- Notable non-winners: Ryan Newman, Jeff Burton (& David Reutimann, since others predicted that he'll win)
- Casey Mears will not win and will finish 15th or lower in points.
- Juan Pablo Montoya will finish between 12th and 18th in points.
- Dale Earnhardt Jr. will win 2 or 3 races on non-restrictor plate tracks.
- Kyle Busch will win 3-4 races at most.
- Haas-Stewart racing will not get more than 1 win between the #14 and the #39.
- Scott Speed and Sam Hornish will both get at least 2 top 10's and will finish in the top 30 in points.
- Marcos Ambrose will struggle in his first full season in Cup and will finish outside the top 25 in points, Joey Logano will take home the ROTY, but won't win a race and won't finish in the top 14 in points.
- Only 2 RCR cars will make the Chase (or less) and Mark Martin will not make the Chase.

This is what I expect:

-Toyotas won't win the championship and Daytona 500
-Mark Martin will the 500
-Jeff Gordon, Carl Edwards, Dale Earnhardt Jr will fight for the Sprint Cup title
-Tony Stewart will win only one race
-David Ragan and David Reutimann will win for the first time
-Matt Kenseth and Kevin Harvick will be back on victory lane
-Junior maybe two times on victory lane
-Montoya and Vickers will make the chase
-Casey Mears will fail again
-Kasey Kahne not make the chase again, but the most important thing is that he and Sadler will own Sorenson
-Joey Logano 20th in the standings and ROTY, beating at the last race Ambrose, who will start from the pole at least one time
-At least one pole position for AJ Allmendinger
-Mika Salo and Jacques Villeneuve on Sonoma and Watkins Glen
-Max Papis never going to the race
-Kyle Busch'll win Nationwide Series championship over Carl Edwards and Brad Kaselowski

Based on last year-
I will be moderately interested until espn takes over, then i will completely lose interest.
The RP races will be tits. The 1.5 milers will be the opposite.

I predict the following:

-Stewart to do well in Speedweeks(what little is left of them) and for Newman to struggle.
-Gibbs should but a veteran in the #20 if Logano gets it close to 35th(which he might)
-Ambrose will be slow at first, probably crash during the 500, if he makes it, but be fantastic on the road courses. He should be back in the top 35 and challenging for at least top-15's by the end of the year.
-Scott Speed could have a few good races, but he's pretty unpredictable.
-Hornish probably out of a ride by midseason unless he actually shows that he has some talent.
-Mears will either continue to be midpack or somehow actually show that he has talent. The #5 car finished 5th in points in 2007. The #07 car finished 5th this year. I expect much of the same from him.
-Bowyer should be interesting, especially if they can't do any type of owner points switch. He's never really been an amazing qualifier.
-I would've expected Reutimann to get a win, but I doubt it now because Jayski says that Ryan Pemberton left the team for a job at Red Bull.
-Ragan should have an impressive year, probably getting a few wins and making the chase, but not doing much and finishing around 9th or 10th.
-Kyle Busch will be back for revenge, but I think he will crash more than win.
-Edwards and Johnson battling for the championship once again, not suure who will win.
-Bowyer will struggle in the beginning and not make the chase.
-Jamie McMurray will continue his hot streak and make the chase(even though he crashes at Daytona, which he WILL do because he hasn't had a clean Speedweeks since 2003(I looked it up))
-Mark Martin will be competitive and maybe win a couple races, but probably won't challenge for the championship.
-Denny Hamlin will be too full of himself to ever win again.
-Dale Jr. will be competeitive, but probably won't win too much and barely make the chase.
-Burton, Biffle, Gordon, Harvick and Kenseth will make the chase on consistency, but probably not too many wins.

My prediction for the 2009 Chase LINEUP:
Jimmie Johnson
Carl Edwards
Kyle Busch
Jeff Burton
Greg Biffle
David Ragan
Mark Martin
Jeff Gordon
Kevin Harvick
Jamie McMurray
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Matt Kenseth

My predictions:

-Stewart/Haas racing will struggle early but will improve over the second half of the season.

-David Ragan will be a first-time winner next year. I can see him winning 2 races and making the chase.

-David Reutimann will knock on the door of victory lane but get several top 5 finishes.

-Joey Logano will win rookie of the year in a tight race over Scott Speed.

-Carl Edwards will win the championship.

-Mark Martin will return to victory lane and the chase.

-David Stremme will run better in the #12 car than he did in the #40.

-The economy will be somewhat better by this time next year and a few more sponsors will look to get into the sport.

-Mark Martin will win the Daytona 500, and possibly the championship.

-Michael Waltrip will pull off an upset win at either Daytona or Talladega.

-Dale Jr. will win one, if not both, of the Talladega races.

-David Reutimann, David Ragan, and Marcos Ambrose (on a road course) will get their first Cup wins.

-There will be a photo finish at Daytona or Talladega.

-Tony Stewart and Kyle Busch will get into an on-track scuffle.

Ambrose can't contend for ROTY as he ran more than 7 races this year. BTW, I predict that neither Logano nor Speed will win ROTY next year, but rather Chad McCumbee (if he goes full time in the 44).

Your expectations for 2009

-There will be great crashes in the beginning of the year, followed by mediocore wrecks during mid-season with the addition of some goofy ones. The end of the season will have one or two Image shunts*, and crappy spins.
-The Nationwide series will have a blunder season full of worthless cautions where cars cut a tire and hit the wall and a lot of these, Image
-Both sprint and nationwide will still be spewing out invisibris cautions, maybe not as much as prior seasons. **
-The trucks will have 'average' incidents. I expect the daytona and tally race with some big ones. This will also be the best of the three series in terms of racing.

* These will be classified in the same category as McDowell's tumble.
** Not likely.

I expect to see better racing due to the lack of testing as the state they were at with setups and tires near the end of the season seemed to be pretty good and would be nice if they can just carry it on from there.

Also, Carl Edwards for the Championship. He was one of the strongest, and most determined/driven driver this season in any race and I would really like to see him win the Cup next year.

Which Cup driver will win the Nationwide championship next year? Discuss.

I also expect to see Johnny Benson racing something, on TV hopefully.
