What do you guys expect for 2009 in Cup?

Not only the season as a whole, but performance by some drivers and teams.

I expect a season a bit more exciting, with some teams getting closer to Gibbs/Hendrick (or just #48)/Roush.
I think with the merger between DEI and Ganassi, Montoya will be in a car that may be able to go for race wins, so i expect him to win in an oval. Same for Allmendinger if he gets a ride in the #41.
I expect to see the #14 and the #39 with decent runs at the beggining and improving during the year.
I expect to see Ragan in victory lane.
I expect ESPN/ABC being shit once again.
I expect to see Brian Vickers in the Top 15, probably in the Chase.

I'm betting there will be a concern about short fields, making the top 35 rule totally pointless.

Hendrick,Gibbs and Roush will dominate once again.

All to be up there competing next year for sure.

I expect to see Jimmie Johnson winning another title.
I expect to see David Ragan getting his first win.
I expect to see Kyle Busch winning a whole shitload of races again.
I don't expect to see a lot from Tony and Newman in the first half of next year.
I think Sam Hornish will continue to be a running joke.
I expect to see Reutimann winning one as well.
I think that Jeff Gordon will win one again.
I expect that we will all grow tired of FOX after a little bit, and then remind ourselves that at least they stay to a race until the end, unlike a certain network who cuts off to America's Funniest Home Videos...

Everyone gets tired of Fox towards the end of their run. Then after like...two races on any other network they want Fox back.

Matt Kenseth will win one of the first 10 races
Joey Logano will DNQ at least one race (probably the 600)
Scott Speed will fail miserably
Dale Earnhardt will win the firecracker 400
Another surprise daytona 500 winner ( I am thinking maybe Jeff Burton)
Mark Martin will miss the chase
Marcos Ambrose will do okay and finish top 25 in points
David Ragan wont win a race till after the second Pocono race

These are my predictions

I expect Allmendinger (pending ride), Reutimann, and Ragan to become strong contenders.

I expect Yates Racing to achieve full sponsorship for all 3 cars.

-Major reforms to the COT for 2010.
-Mark Martin will win atleast 3 races.
-We will have 2 first time winners.
-We will see Mika Salo in a cup car at Watkins Glen.
-Kyle Busch will win 5 races.
-The Sprint Cup champion will be Mark Martin over Carl Edwards.

I'm going to expect:
-a driver in the top 10 get suspended for one race.
-one of the former Winston Million races get rain shortened.
-the first time winner this year comes at Darlington.
-Biffle to win the most races
-Harvick to win the championship
-Johnson to break foot at Atlanta
-Sadler to fuel mileage himself to a SoS win
-one major scandal to rock the NASCAR world in which a driver and/or crew chief will be charged with a felony.

-oh and a race weekend thread to not make it past one page.

I'm expecting this out of the 2009 Cup season:
-David Ragan, David Reutimann, and A.J. Allmendinger (once he gets a strong ride) to get their first Cup wins
-Jimmie Johnson to have an off-year...I think he'll make the Chase, but there will be no four-peat
-Jeff Gordon, Kevin Harvick, and Matt Kenseth will break out of their dry spells, as neither of those three won at all in '08
-Marcos Ambrose will struggle, but not on the road courses
-Kyle Busch will win races and Hamlin will win one or two, but Logano won't win at all in '09 (though I think he'll be ROTY)
-TV coverage will still be a disappointment

and last but not least...

-Carl Edwards will win the Sprint Cup

I predict:

- Scott Speed will be out of a ride by the Coke Zero 400.
- Jeff Gordon to break his winless streak at the Daytona 500.
- AJ Allmendinger (if he gets the Earnhardt/Ganassi ride) to outperform all of his teammates
- Reed Sorenson to DNQ more times than he races.
- Casey Mears to be out of a ride at Childress by this time next year.
- ESPN to stink unless they get either Bestwick or Daugherty, or both, in the booth.
- The Nationwide Series won't be worth watching.
- The Camping World Truck Series will be worth watching.
- Brad Keselowski to be Nationwide Series champ.
- Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards to be the main contenders for the Sprint Cup title.

- Edwards champion
- Gordon, Harvick, and Kenseth all get wins
- Stewart/Newman run decently but just miss the Chase
- Goodyear has tire troubles at a couple races but improves significantly over 2008

i pirdict the following to be honost:

- Lots of drivers I don't like will be pruned through drug testing
- Earl will slip during one of his backflips and paralyze himself.
- Joey Logano will win the Daytona 500 and people here will still say he's shit
- People will complain about Buschwhacking again and NASCAR will say they're considering something to restrict it, but talks will die down and they won't do anything in the end.
- There will be more shit commercials
- The plate races will be great again, but something will happen at the finish that leaves everyone bitter again.
- The stock market will completely shit the bed and cause most sponsors to leave.
- After a stretch of shit races, drivers and fans will begin raising hell again over the COT, but NASCAR will refuse to do anything. After another announcement that no major changes will be made to the CoT for the foreseeable future, most drivers will go on strike. (Image)
- Somebody will walk away from a huge crash and people will go OH GOLLY GEE WINKERS HE WOULD'VE BEEN DED TEN YEARS AGO again.
- Jeff Gordon will go winless again and retire. All while insisting that Steve Letarte isn't the problem.
- People will continue to be a disgrace to journalism and write articles like this.
- Brad Keselowski will have a shit year compared to this year. Image
- Everyone's predictions will be wrong.

I expect to see:

-Jeff Gordon to not win until half way through the season and struggle again
-Kyle to win at least 4 races
-Jr to win between 2 - 3 races
-Jimmie to FINALLY not make the chase
-Mark Martin to win the Daytona 500
-Joey Lagono to struggle most of the season, and win his first race at Dover #2
-Tony will be in contention for the championship, winning 5 races, but come up short at Homestead
-Newman to win 2 races
-Penske to be competitive again
-ESPN to suck major balls again
-Fox to continue their annoying Digger promotion (which is better than the BS ESPN has)
-at least 1 MAJOR crash that sends a driver flipping several times
-Truck champion will be a surprise winner
-Nationwide champion will not be a Full time Cup driver (i know wishful thinking)
-Camping World will continue their World domination and sponsor more cars and more races
-MWR will get their very first victory (with the #44)
-ROTY will come down between Marcos Ambrose and Joey Lagono
-at least 1 race will be rain shortened
