Who the hell cares about it anyway, it's like some 35 people will watch it anyway.

I never get this.. whatever happened to watching the race just to enjoy the race and see who wins it? It's not like we watch races in the early part of the season just to see who moves where in the points standings, so why do races near the end of the season have to be a championship decider? It would be nice to have a scenario like the NCTS points battle on the last round for sure, but if it's not, how does it take away from the value of the RACE any? It's still going to be a race, just like any other and I really don't see how, if the racing is good, it makes it any lesser than a good race that took place early in the season.

No, I'm with you on that one. It's just that the crowning of a champion is always going to be the big story, whether not it's a foregone conclusion.

Yea, would be nice therefore if Jimmie struggles all race to barely squeak in the Top-35 that he needs for clinching it and poor ESPN are forced to actually show and talk about some other cars that are racing for the win and not the Championship.

Knowing ESPN, they'd find some way to fuck it up royally.

If the race runs long and they cut away to Jime Rome's show, I'm killing everyone.

It can't be any worse than America's Funniest Home Videos, I guess...

Jim Rome's show is on ESPN and on weekdays... if anything, they'd cut to Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (is the not-home edition even still on the air?).

Nah, they finished up last year. At least it hasn't gotten ridiculous as it was in the early 90s.
