No he won't. One of the greatest start-and-parkers of all time, Mike Harmon, has the honour of parking this truck this week.

More Nationwide Series fun facts:

4. Derrike Cope: The 1990 Daytona 500 winner looks to finish out his stint with Jay Robinson in style by finishing within 10 laps of the leaders.
31. Kenny Hendrick: Interush to the garage.
52. Donnie Neuenberger: Donnie will bin Jimmy's only 52 car at some point during practice or qualifying and the team will end up borrowing Randy MacDonald's backup car again, put money on it.
89. Morgan Shepherd: Has sponsorship from the Dale Jarrett Racing Adventure this weekend, good thing it's not the Dale Jarrett Landscaping Adventure.
05. Burney Lamar: He got that model bitch pregnant, way to go big guy!
09. John Wes Townley: 4 Nationwide attempts this year with, 2 DNQs, and 4 wrecked race cars, I like his odds.

providing jimmie johnson scores a top 10 here, can he be champion then already here or in phoenix?

More then likely, But anything can happen. If he has bad finishes in these next 3 races Edwards could steal the championship. But if Edwards screws up then it's all over with. But Jimmie has a pretty good chance of being a 3 time winner right now.

it just doesn't seem right in a sport where all cars are meant to be equal that we will have a third succesive title for the same driver.
That said, Jimmie must be good

That coupled with Chad Knaus being very smart.

Johnson's just very good at these late season runs. He would've won in 2003 had the Chase been in place then as well. He probably would be ahead without it, I know, but he knows how to play it - save up everything throughout the season and surge in the second half

What in the name of shit is going on? Ken Schrader in the DLP Hall of Fame racing Toyotey is fastest so far in practice, a half-mile-and-hour faster than Jimmie Johnson.

There's still plenty of time left, but it looks a lot like last week's practice, so far.

Jeff Gordon fastest in practice - good god damn, I hope he wins before the year's out.

Allmendinger 2nd, Montoya 4th, Ambrose 5th, Nemechek, Menard and Reutimann all in the top 10. Not too shabby.
