I really thought he was going to climb the tire barrier more than he did, very fortunate that didn't roll several times.

These cars just don't get much damage when they hit stuff. The composite bodies don't rip and bend quite like metal bodies used to, and the chassis design is so different that they don't crumple like they used to in big hits.

I don’t think Logano did anything wrong there. These cars just don’t handle that curb as well as the “old” stock cars do. Plenty of pairs of drivers did that yesterday without getting kicked laterally into the driver next to them. Cup cars are just too stiff for that.
