I admit the clusterfuck potential is the only reason I'd tune into this race.

Not my case, I miss the old 90s style Cart street circuits. This one scratches that itch.

that would be more fitting if they were racing 90's CART racers but instead they're running low on power high on dirty air machines

So tickets after fees at the cheapest were around $300. Last night at the bubba block party, everyone that attended got vouchers to attend. All 7,000 people got em.

I only vaguely remembered the layout when I drove it on iRacing over a year ago, but seeing it again on a clip this week...I'm slightly less pessimistic about the race. That being said, I can also still see this being an absolute crashfest when you factor in the driving standards on RCs and the clout all these guys are gonna want for being the first to win on a street course.

How many GWC attempts? I'd say three...

Driving a lot on this track on iRacing, preparing for our big league race next monday, the track has a lot of character. No turn is the same, different widths and lots of tricky bumps. Much more fun and challenging than the map suggests.

Interesting to know that the cars will be equipped with mufflers for this race...? At least as per this video (near the end of it). Has that ever been done before in NASCAR? Wonder how they'll sound.

Doesn't seem like a huge difference to my ears, unless NBC is doing some sound sweetening.
