I only vaguely remembered the layout when I drove it on iRacing over a year ago, but seeing it again on a clip this week...I'm slightly less pessimistic about the race. That being said, I can also still see this being an absolute crashfest when you factor in the driving standards on RCs and the clout all these guys are gonna want for being the first to win on a street course.

Fuck it. If the people/government of Chicago are cool with it, I say we do it again next summer.

Well, that just about saved the weekend from total disaster. Praise SVG.

Shane van Gisbergen is the first driver to win in their Cup Series debut since Johnny Rutherford in a Daytona 500 qualifying race in 1963. In 1963 the Daytona 500 qualifying races were points races.

If Gisbergen gets stuck in traffic and Haley walked away with this one, what’s the actual ranking of the race?

No change for me. Either way, still a better winner than Chase or Larson again.

Someones probably pointed it out already but I love how his name was pronounced differently each time he was mentioned. I'm fairly sure I heard Shane Van Gizardburger at one point.

It'd be hilarious if SVG doesn't do anymore Cup races and he'll be the only driver to have a 100% success rate.

Also, Inb4 Vegas wants to host on the strip before 2025.

Congrats to Shane Van Gisenbergenven raven maven

Somehow I feel NASCAR plucked a victory from the jaws of disaster here. To be fair to them, no one could've predicted the first and biggest rainstorm in a long time falling today...and in the end the racing was pretty good

A few lol moments but nothing more than your average Indycar or F1 street race, so, somehow, thumbs up?

I've never complained about Spectrum internet. Always been top notch service. Always fast. Always reliable.

Until yesterday. Went out at 12:30 yesterday afternoon and didn't come back on till 6:30 this morning, so no racing for me at all yesterday. Was delighted to wake up this morning and see who won though! Can't wait to go back and watch this on the DVR!
