Who is this third commentator who is blaming McDowell for Ty Gibbs using the bumper and shoving him out the way into the car on his outside?

Holy shit. I never thought I'd see the day where NASCAR would come back to North Wilkesboro. And it's actually happening. Wow.

I second that, and no more power tampering on Cup cars

those cars cannot do shit on a classic track

found it weird that nascar didn't triggered a late caution to cause their usual overtime mayhem

You guys have watched old cup races at North Wilkesboro right? This is a typical NW race. The last race in '96 had 4 cautions over 400 laps and 11 cars finished on the lead lap. The other race they ran at NW that year, 5 cars finished on the lead lap. It was never the most electrifying of tracks.

I believe North Wilkesboro was the site of the last caution free short track race('92) and the last time the leader lapped the entire field ('94).

I didn't expect much with these cars. Figured NASCAR would over-promote the "excitement" then under-deliver with the final product.

Judging by some of the quotes/tweets that I've read on Twitter a number of drivers, Jeff Gordon and Michael Waltrip have said or Tweeted that the short track package needs more work. NASCAR needs to get to work on that ASAP and make sure it's perfect before the next track where the short track package is used.

Sounds like I made the right choice to not bother watching.

at the very last second, ended up going to the race

#5 car was just on another damn planet

as everyone has said for a year & a half now - the new car / package needs some work, bad

-

Besides the racing product (which I kinda expected tbh), it was simply incredible in the stands. Last time I felt this type of vibe around a Cup race had to be 2003

A dull race on a short track is still way better than all those tedious All Star Races at the larger tracks.
