Judging by the lightning in the background we're not getting any trucks racing for a while.

They have the wets on in the truck race and they only last 15 laps

There was an Xfinity race. There were some wrecks, JHN dominated and won. Sheldon Creed continues to be god’s whipping boy, for some reason.

They showed the last lap stuff after the interviews.

Cup is green. There could be rain and they could run wets.

This race will be won or lost in the pits. Yuck.

That's if they bother going back to racing. This is going to be what, ten laps at least under caution for the stage end.

it appears this race = the exact reason why i decided to only consider going to the late model stock race at Wilkesboro

Wheel on track

NASCAR takes ages to bring out caution.

This package needs to get in the bin. Imagine managing to make Martinsville this dull

The car just plain sucks ass for most oval racing. The only thing I can see giving it a meaningful improvement is a significant increase in power, and that's just out of the question apparently. I didn't really watch much of this anyway (mostly focused on IndyCar and baseball) but I still don't know why I keep coming back at all. NASCAR has effectively been screaming in our faces for years that they have no meaningful interest in prioritizing the on-track product. I don't have a good answer for why I'm apparently not listening well enough.

Ah, nice. Watched some Portimao, Long Beach and CoTA. Forgot NASCAR was even on and saw not one lap. A good Sunday was had.

It's ok, DEGA next week which always improves a jaded NASCAR fans enthusiasm for the sport!

Just let me get through it by saying one of the 5 memes every 10 mins and I'll be ok

To be honest, I should just fully embrace that my only remaining interest in the Cup series (and F1 too, at this rate) is just crashes. I still have Xfinity and IndyCar for the total experience.

SS racing is pitiful now anyways. The racing isn't really special or anything. It's all about the wrecks. So if you get a yellow at the end, it's because you're getting what they're trying to deliver. It's only blue balls if you're deluded enough to expect racing.

Denny unloaded & basically went on a 10 minute rant re: tapered spacers, RPM limits, shifting from the lower power & RPM range, lack of falloff from tires, and the supposed cost savings on limited engines not being any different on his podcast today

(segment starts around 17 minutes in, rant around 22/23 minutes in)
