Best race of the weekend was the Indycars.

I couldn’t even get mildly excited at the end cos of their stupid insistence of using the blimp/helicopter view almost exclusively on the restart. That view is good for replays to see what happened, but not for overall coverage.

I actually love that type of coverage on key restarts. NBC have been doing it for a couple years now, but they zoom out a bit so you can see a good half of the field. Yet another way FOX takes something and manages to screw it up.

NASCAR sucks because the rules make long runs and caution-free races impossible.

I think it's pretty unanimously agreed that stage racing is terrible, which is what my post was about

But NASCAR sucks because this racing doesn't produce enough cautions

I can't speak for anyone else but my problem with the racing is that it doesn't produce enough racing... cautions have nothing to do with it

NASCAR sucks because they threw a caution for a car that actually spun, hit the wall and had shit coming off it?

They threw that caution before they'd even had chance to see if anything was coming off the car, they were itching to press the button.

I don't think it's a contradiction to want cars & rules that produce genuine, entertaining racing without having to rely on contrived cautions and DRAMA. Is it?

Did FOX ever show any replays of any of that?

Yes. One. And it was from the tower cam on the frontstretch where you couldn't see much of anything.

Yeah I hate how they've been doing that. Can't see past the first couple of cars, and what you can see is made to look ten times more dull

Might be a world feed thing, with the rest of the screen filled up with graphics/ads on the US side of things

Or they just have to have an excuse say whatever the blimp's sponsor name is a lot....
