NASCAR is so dumb throwing the yellow that late. It makes absolutely no difference if the drivers behind the wreck see it or not…it’s too late for them to factor it into their avoidance. Too much going on. All it does is add more confusion to the race for the win.

it helps prevent arca brakes from drivers coming from behind

One race down and we've got a driver airlifted to the hospital with serious burns after almost yeeting himself into a wall, a pitcrew member pulling a possible fatal derp, 4(?) tires going down on a track where it shouldn't happen during a 94 lap race, garbage camera work, and nearly the entire field wrecked on the last lap. And we're just getting started.

Could they not, I don't know, put a little trust in their drivers for once?

The wreck was already on, as the australians say, for young and old

Throwing the yellow did nothing and tbh having the spotters yell "YELLOW YELLOW YELLOW" in everyone's ears during it is just gonna make it worse as some drivers will slow down at different times to others and since they're all so close, it's gonna make them more likely to run into each other

That's my xpert analysis

of course not every driver slowed down like they should've (especially drivers at this level), but many drivers do slow down knowing the rules protect their positions

It turns out that the person who decides when the yellow comes out and who wins the race is God himself, because Matt D said he won because God chose him to

Bit of a demotion for God to just be adjudicating NASCAR races when there's a lot bigger problems in the world, but there it is

Yeah good guy God, making other drivers dreams crushed or making literally barbecue out of them so Matt D can win

And I think Reddick hit an official on pit road this morning or yesterday... I've seen video but don't remember when it occurred. Not a great start to the weekend.
