And yet, proving his point in doing so.

Ware in the wall off T2. That’s twice tonight we’ve seen someone absolutely pound the wall there without triggering a yellow.

Engine problems take Truex out of the lead, his season truly is cursed.

Man, that yellow spoils an interesting finish. It’ll either be a shitshow now or a fresh tire snoozer.

Erik Jones' win came 55 years to the day of Richard Petty's only Southern 500 win back in 1967.

They showed a plaque commemorating that win a few minutes ago. That win was Richard’s 55th, which moved him into 1st all-time then. I don’t believe in fate or whatnot but it’s still fun when numbers line up like that.

Just caught up. Seemed like a decent race, lots of attrition and a good winner.

pretty cool to see the 43 back in victory lane, they've been rolling towards that goal for a while now

-

gotta say it though; I hope something kicks NASCAR into gear before someone gets seriously hurt or killed with this piece of shit NextGen car. Yet another reason why I hate single supplier spec racing platforms - if it was still open, I reckon the teams would of never allowed that style design to hit the track (and if they did, it would be solely in the goal of stiffness).
