Wtf was that, they really wanted to end this race. Car spinning and no caution, then white flag and suddenly yellow

Why did they throw the caution for that? Blue balls

That race needs to be scrubbed from the record books. What a shitshow.

Happy for Jeremy but man, you'd think the teams would have a sit-down with NASCAR about doing away with three GWCs after this.

The top 10 of the Xfinity Series race is full of unexpected names.

1. 51-Jeremy Clements
2. 13-Timmy Hill
3. 16-AJ Allmendinger
4. 68-Brandon Brown
5. 44-Sage Karam
6. 6-Ryan Vargas
7. 54-Ty Gibbs
8. 36-Alex Labbe
9. 66-JJ Yeley
10. 38-Kyle Sieg

Two MBM cars finished in the top 10.

Because the race ended after midnight, Jeremy Clements got his 2nd win 5 years to the day after he got his first win. He won on August 27, 2017 for his first win and now on August 27, 2022, he gets his 2nd.

For the 2nd week in a row I gambled on the weather meaning no racing would happen, and for the 2nd week in a row, I lost

Though seeing the race started about 4:30am my time and finished about 6:30am, I'm ok with that

And considering that horse shit finish where they had a slow car trundling around and waiting to get them over the white flag so they could throw the yellow and go home, I'm glad I didn't bother :yuk:

If I was a conspiracy theorist I'd come up with something about how they probably had Clements as their favourite driver and wanted him to win and threw the yellow as soon as he was in the lead
I don't believe that, but if I was AJ Allmendinger with a huge run and a push coming over the line on the final lap looking for the win and they did that to me, I'd be mightily pissed off.

2/10 Shit finish and no-one hooked a storm drain

I went to bed at my usual time fully prepared to watch the highlights, imagine my non-surprise when I woke up at five and watched the race finish live over breakfast.

I bet NASCAR was just fed up in the end of the GWCs and deliberately waited until Clements had passed the line before throwing the yellow.

Think I’ll do same for Cup race tonight lol.

the race was doing fine until the end when the traditional superspeedway derpness took over. they would keep crashing on overtime until there was no car running

Doesn't look very good, but it shows how it looks 3h before race start. A lot of big rainy clouds during the race anyway

You know Daytona is a joke when the local Daytona station doesn't want to show the race in Daytona on it's primary channel.

"Let's Go Away" indeed.

The conspiracy theorist in me says that if they had another GWC pileup, Brandon Brown might've won, and heaven forbid 'Lets Go Brandon' catches fire again....
