Now, from that radar, it wasn't a lot of area with rain. Might be a quick shower and then clean again. They might restart this one. But how many would be left to race?!

I dunno. florida has afternoon thunderstorms literally every single day without fail. Even if its isolated or scattered, i dont see this race restarting.

My radar shows that it can be better after 5 hours from now. I'm not sure (if radar will be true) they want to wait that long

I didn’t realize it was already raining. I thought it was just a sudden downpour but a lot of the drivers coming out of the care center are saying the yellow should have come a lap earlier.

NASCAR cannot get out of its own way. Pretty shameful.

Well, Kyle Busch just said he felt like WAS a sudden downpour.

The guys at the front were complaining for a lap, by the sound of it. I wonder if they just saw it more because they were at the front, and maybe the further back in the pack, the more the wake from the leading cars was blowing some of the rain away from their view.

It was raining on and off throughout the race, so I can't really blame em for not throwing the yellow flag. In fact, kudos to NASCAR for not doing that. If the'd have gotten another half a lap or some, they'd have thrown the flag for sure. They wanted the race to go on. Can't shit on NASCAR this time.

Glad I'm watching this one live. Races that have a rain delay can take forever to be uploaded. This being Daytona and determining the chase. It would have felt like an eternity waiting for the torrent to be published and then the slow ass download when there's only 1 seeder.

Also good to be able to post here during the event, not 5 days after.....

Can't believe they're going to all this effort to run 21 laps with a quarter of the field

The alternative is the race ending as it did, and I don't think NASCAR want that particular headache.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Lot's of confidence I see, to think the restart will be any better with all that's on the line.

A shitshow at the advertised distance is (slightly) more desirable than a shitshow derived through your own inability to understand the weather.

All drivers who destroyed their cars because "racing will be over when that rain hits the track"
