Just got home and turned this on to see the championship 4 lead the start of the final stage 1-2-3-4... I've missed 2/3rds of NASCAR's cHaMpIoNsHiP rAcE and it literally doesn't matter

Yeah, you might as well skip the entire season, find out who made the last four and then turn on for Stage 3 of the season finale to see the very four cars occupy the four top positions. This has happened a number of times already.

Phoenix is Harvick's best track on the schedule and he manages to run as the best of the rest.

How long until this suspicious pattern becomes so obvious that NASCAR realizes they are doing it wrong?

That is a nasty hit. He's lucky there's SAFER barrier there now.

It's been obvious for a decade. They put the cherry on top last year when Johnson finished 5th after having done fuck-all for the rest of the season.

They don't care that long-time fans notice because long-time fans aren't the dumb marks that Phelps and O'Donnell are flogging the product to any more.

The type of crash I’m worried about at Phoenix is someone getting hooked in the right rear as they all cut the dog leg and getting fired head on into ‘front stretch’ wall heading into T1. That would be a brutal hit

This is trash.

On one hand, Larson is the true Champion regardless. On the other hand, Truex, Hamlin and Elliot have played to the rules and that's all you have to do. Wins really don't mean anything. Win 2-3 races to make the dance and then see what happens.

Still... Garbage.

Of all NASCAR's unmitigated failures, this format is the worst. I could not be less invested in this championship
