Fuck Denny Hamlin. I've been watching NASCAR for 25 years and I don't think I've ever seen a driver as unlikeable. He doesn't even have the villain edginess going for him like Kyle does, he's just an uppity wet fart. I hope he never wins a championship, but if he does it doesn't really matter as they're basically a lottery these days.

as a denny hamlin fan i was disappointed in his post race comments. he was definitely being a "world class bitch" in chris' words, lol.

that said, disrupting bowman's celebration seemed a fair retaliation without taking it too far. and it was entertaining to watch. bowman way overdrove the corner, and even though denny had given him a lane and a half to make it bowman still couldn't without contact. he easily could've cost denny a shot at the championship, and it was totally fair of denny to come back at him for it. denny's done more than enough in this sport to deserve to be a champion, both as a driver and now an owner

He's a prick, at least some folks who went to his highschool I used to know said so.

Mark never really took a guy out for a win or wet his pants in front of a live camera, so I don't see a lot of similarities there.

Mark was way above that.

When Noah Gragson, of all people, shows the world how it's done in a critical situation, you know shit's fucked.

Ok, what is up with the pants wetting? I've not heard of that before.

Martin would have won the 1997 Winston Cup if NASCAR didn't insist on a 1 lap shootout in the Daytona July race. He got ARCA Braked. It was shades of that Baku red flag.

Would've won it in 1990 too if it weren't for a penalty I believe.

That one was more painful because he was penalized 46 points for an improperly installed tapered spacer. Wound up losing the title to Dale Earnhardt by 23 points.

Even worse, that penalty occurred very early into the season, so he had his chances.

Mark Martin is the Stirling Moss of NASCAR. Thorough gentleman, as good as anyone during his time, but uncanny tendency of getting robbed by luck or regulations.

When they came back from the commercial break after the first round of interviews, they showed a few replays of the restart. One of them you could just see the 38 sliding down toward the inside wall at the entry to T1 and getting hit in the LF as the camera panned away and the replay cut. Nobody on the broadcast drew any attention to it but you could see it was a solid hit.
