Gibbs has a brake failure in his very near future.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

lol, Gibbs caused two issues on the last lap. Don’t care how fast he is, the kid’s a lunatic.

Fairly sure that kerfuffle at the end was started by Gibbs finally running out of brakes.

And here I am, thinking that Noah Gragson is abrasive.

Nope, it's Ty Gibbs.

I'm watching this every few mins and it's hard to follow. The constant talk about the playoffs and cutoffs makes it confusing with trying to follow the actual race. Like right now they're talking about Larson missing the playoffs, didn't he win like 7 races this year? This is dumb. It doesn't help that the race itself is boring along with the usual issues we complain about

No you see as long as they get points that’s what the fans want to see.

the race is lukewarm until it gets 10 laps to go and drivers missing a playoff spot get desperate and drive like they have no brain

This really sums up the biggest problem I have with NASCAR today. Yes, I greatly miss having a season-long points championship because of the fair sporting nature of it, but beyond that I absolutely hate what the current emphasis on playoffs have done to watching the races. Everything now seems to be focused entirely on the champion/making it to the next round/getting stage points/etc. This goes so overboard that the actual race itself gets pushed into the background. Somebody who is a mid-pack guy is having a good day and in contention for a top 5? NBC just says "who fucking cares? CHAMPIONSHIP IMPLICATIONS!!!" and focuses on the same three guys all race long. It's really making it hard for me to watch races toward the end of the season, since I absolutely do not care who wins the championship anymore.

If you win Daytona 500 you can piddle about all season until the playoffs. It has really made the season before then matter a lot less.

Harvick should have won the championship at the penultimate round, instead he didn't get to the final four.

And this year Harvick won't win the championship either.
