And this is why we keep seeing so many blocking crashes. Nobody, from the drivers to the commentators, seems to realize this. You're gonna have to block on the final lap, I get that, but you're asking for trouble doing it before then. This isn't like the tiny spoiler package where it's hard to get a run on someone, but they still drive like they did with that package.

I hate this current commentary team, almost as bad as when DW was in full retard mode

It's really the worst booth ever on every level, even worse than the Bill Weber days.

Just watched the highlights. It's almost funny how Bubba got through that wreck. Literally just drove right through the middle of it.

Someone needs to make a total of how many millions have been spent at superspeedways over the years

First top 10 finish for Live Fast Motorsports.

I was pondering a few hours after the race, why do guys like Elliott and Logano care so much about winning at Daytona that they pull fuckwit blocking moves for the slim chance it will work out in their favour? I get dudes that may never have a shot at winning at a normal track doing whatever it takes (Chris Buescher) but when you've won a few and even won a championship, what does winning at Daytona or Talladega add to your ego? Are your driving peers really gonna give props to you in interviews or quietly reflect afterwards, 'Gee, I wish I had the mad skills Chase showed when he was willing to wreck the high line to hold onto the lead, that's winner's instinct man.'

Honest question, I have no idea why these guys think winning at a superspeedway is any sort of achievement. I always respected guys like Mark Martin for taking the view, "Fuck this place, I'm gonna get through here and focus on winning at a real track next week."
