Honestly he did fine. Had an issue with the transmission a couple hundred yards after the line.

NASCAR tried for 10 years to stop Busch racing in the Xfinity Series and he still did.

The only thing that stopped Busch racing in the Xfinity Series was Busch himself

At least we can stop celebrating the least impressive record ever. Lewis doesn't troll F2 for easy wins, SVG doesn't run Super2 for shits and giggles, Marquez doesn't run Moto2 to boost his ego. Kyle Busch feeling the need to be a fucking whale in a goldfish pond has been lame for way, way too long. Cup drivers used to run Busch to get more track time and suss out setup before the main race, but any similarity between the cars has been gone for almost 15 years now.

The worst part is NASCAR count his stats in ladder series as just total wins and he's used that to go up agagainst Petty's all time win record.

Lewis, Micheal et al could add a few more W's to their tally if they counted Formula 3 or whatever they raced in before F1

This is something I will say, even watching Sportman/Busch races in the 80s/90s, Cup drivers have also been present. The thing that differed is they didn’t just dominate flag to flag week after week. Yeah they won a lot but the wins weren’t a guarantee. I think if the 54 didn’t look like it had cheat codes every week we would care less about what he’s done. It was fun to watch Earnhardt/Martin/Gant. It’s not fun watching Busch.

That's just it, they did the odd race and didn't have to be forced to limit it. Then certain Cup drivers realised they could do every race and stink up the show and get a cheap championship. NASCAR certainly didn't help by bigging it up and making more and more of the Busch/truck races at the same tracks as Cup.

Mark Martin did win a few but he didn't run away with it and even DNQ'd. They're really not in danger of that any more.

thought he raced the lower series to justify sponsorship involvement and grab the prize money

The name of the driver in front is unique, apart from the name of the driver in 2nd place, which is Identical #ifmurraywalkerdidnascar

Kurt wins.

Ganassi will be annoyed - if he had waited another couple of weeks to sell up, he could have added another $10 million to the asking price.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Finished yesterday the trucks, awesome race until 10 to go. They really should have gone to single file restarts.

xFinity saw before that, entertaining final portion of the race but heartbreaking finish.

Cup just finished, still watching post-race show. I saw a video title posted this week about top 10 hearthbraking finishes, I was just waiting for when Kurt Busch was going to choke-up, and he didn't. Great battle at the end, great race overall. 500 to 400 miles seems like a way shorter race every time, I think here even more, as they don't stretch that green flag stint with older tyres long.
