This goes back to my personal theory that there's been a change in insurance policies worldwide and the days of "track is the same for everyone, put on the right tyres to suit the conditions" dry to wet to dry racing is a thing of the past.

No matter if in Europe, America, Aus or wherever else, it seems to be race control's issue now to ensure the field is on the correct tyres for the conditions for safety reasons.

It blows

insurance sets alot of standards, but I don't think this is the case here - considering NASCAR didn't enforce the wipers and red lights to be turned on

IMO - this is purely for "the show" & for NASCAR's spec part suppliers to make huge bank from all of the crashes that's incoming
