AJ Allmendinger was supposedly ready to drive in relief? Guess that won't happen anymore.

Next race is just four days away. He would need to make quite the recovery to be ready for it.

I'm guessing they might not want another driver to go through the same thing that did Austin in.

Was that heat for Dillon or maybe fumes in the cockpit? Polish TV has the US audio turned off so I can't tell.

Dunno if it was fumes or just heat exhaustion but judging by what was mentioned on Twitter the loss of the crush panel earlier seemed to cause the issue.

I watched a 12 minute long highlight video from this race, even that was boring.

Yeah and 5 mins of that was them padding it with crank it up

Maybe midweek races aren't ideal if people havent got time to repair their torn up stuff on such a tight timeframe

You know a Martinsville race is bad when it doesn't go over its allotted timeslot.

Codename has a point; it felt like everyone wanted to get in and GTFO without leaving a total junkyard behind.

Having watched both Atlanta and Martinsville flag-to-flag, Atlanta was way worse than Martinsville. We often criticize these drivers for driving nuts at plate races but it really looked like they behaved very well in this race. Which ultimately leads into a boring race.

It's not one boring race, it's a recent trend of boring races. The cars are just way too stable, even with the lower-aero package used for short tracks (where aero doesn't really matter anyway).

Wait, NASCAR has gone to a lower downforce package, but only on short tracks? :slaphead:
